Your latest alcohol purchase

Today, I went to talk to a friend that manages a liquor store and also a member at my gun range. While in his office I noticed a bottle of Evan Williams Vintage bourbon (bottled in 2015) on his bookshelf. At one time, this could be found all over the state of GA. Maybe 2 years ago, Evan Williams Vintage became a KY only bourbon and when I saw it sitting in his office I had to have it. Ended up with 2 bottles and they are not very expensive, $30 each. If you ever see one on the shelf and you want a good everyday neat pour, buy it and thank me later.

So, so good! It is up to about $50 a bottle in Kentucky now, and sometimes a limited purchase:

Could just be the ink they use on the labels. We did some stuff for coach bag security labels that goes under a certain light from a special pen so they could tell if it's genuine or not. Black light responsive ink and glow in the dark ink are also available.

I don’t think BT would have anything done in SD Cali nor do I know of them to have an 18year rye other than sazerac… cool bottle but I’m pretty sure it’s a college kid basement project that he’s making a killing on

ABC in Chatham county (Cole Park) has Sazerac Rye. I grabbed a bottle today - haven't tried this one yet. Not sure I'm going to like it. Also grabbed some old trusty Ezra Brooks. Still no 2A at that location though. They did card me which will probably be the highlight of my day. Haha

Picked up a Heaven's Door Straight Rye and ordered on-line 2 Haven's Door Exploration bottles.
If you are not sure about the bourbon/rye, the straight HD rye (Refuge) is really a game changer.

Two these were picked up last week (bourbon and rye) and today I found the Farm Strength (121 proof). Never had any but the reviews and history of the farm/distillery got me interested in them. Will crack them this weekend.

While at the ABC store, they had 3or 4 other bottles that I would like to try. Please let me know if you have tried them. I have the Ben Holladay Wheat that too will be cracked this weekend.
Ben Hollady.jpgMiddle West Spirits.jpgYellowstone Toasted.jpgTHX.

It is very good rye for the money, one of my regular rotations

I had a pretty good day today in Virginia. I missed out on Weller CYPB by one person in front of me but got the 12 year.

You did do well… the list I posted was what they had in emporia and prices… I’m more of a collector than drinker or flipper.. so chose to get the michters 10year and kept looping the line getting the small blantons. Ended plump with (6) 375 blantons, (1) 375 ER, JM cigar blend and the michters 10year. They had a full case of the elmer T. Lee and it sold out at the 13th person.. I was #16 in line and could not believe the Weller full proof and the michters 10 was still up there. They only had (3) of the michters and (6) Weller full proof.. I did buy the last michters 10 and the Weller was gone by the time I looped
