I think it’s good.
I might add something about the need to consider probable scenarios before you get into them. When surprised, we tend to exaggerate risk in our minds, but a jury will be calm and cool when they evaluate your decisions. All that feeds into a discussion of preparation and situational awareness that‘s old hat to you.
In the blog post, maybe add examples where the elements of the AOJ framework have probably not been met - panhandler at a gas station, car pulling into your driveway, drunk guy knocking at your door, person walking behind you on a sidewalk, person knocking on your car window, person or group blocking a street but not being aggressive toward you specifically. I’m thinking examples where someone might be startled, afraid, or inconvenienced but probably not at risk.
