Has anyone been out to shoot this yet? I am going to try the end of this coming week if weather cooperates. Going to see my new grandson for a few days. He gets priority.

Not yet. Weather and work have prevented it this week. Hoping to get out there soon. My air rifles take the precious little time I have had.

Been considering selling my precision 455 to add another air rifle, so I might have to get out there soon.

Had an hour or so to get out and shoot this afternoon. Didn't do great, but not terrible either. Scored a 17. CZ 455, Athlon Ares BTR 2-15x, SK Rifle Match.

I haven't shot these matches as yet but have a couple of targets printed off in case a buddy shows up tomorrow to shoot. I've never really shot a 50 yard target so probably won't post a pathetic picture but I still plan to give it a try.

This is all in fun! We enjoy having new shooters and welcome all with open arms. The more shooters we have, the more fun we have. Please post all targets, good or bad, we don't judge.:)

Very good! Hoping to get out and shoot one this Wed. Also trying out skeet for the first time. So it will be an interesting day.

Well, it started out about like I had envisioned it. Could barely squeak a 12/21 out of the first 2 targets after adjusting my scope for 50 yds. This is the first time I have shot a target for score, or any other reason, at 50 yards. Usually just plink at spinners with different rifles for fun. A buddy came over and gave me a little competition as we settled down for some serious bragging rights and the third target was a great improvement.
452 American (stock except for a cheap trigger change)
Weaver 6x24x40 AO
Caldwell Tackdriver front bag and Protector rear bag
SK Std +
19/21

Well done!

Thank you sir. I may try it again tomorrow if the rain doesn't get me. I have got to be more careful on that 3 oz. trigger. Still getting used to it and it showed twice.

I got the target printed! That's as far as I got, oldest son called and needed some help moving a dresser. Then we all went out to eat. Maybe shoot it next week.

I brought everything with me the other day, but after saving the lives of a bunch of clays I was to tired to shoot benchrest. Think I am going to have to do two days a week at the range! Gas budget is going to go to hell.

Finally got a chance to try out this target AND I remembered to bring ammo today!

H&R M-12
BSA 8-32x optic
Wolf MT ammo
front rear & rear bags

SCORE: 19/21. One of the shots was really close, but I called it a miss. 6-die, left side, second circle down. The edge of the bullet looked "out" to me and the radial tears into the black don't count.

I just got back from the range! I am going to shoot this one again! It was fun, had a slight crosswind gusting to the right. I count 16, maybe the ones in the 6 die, lower 2 on the left, are no good. They both hit both bulls.
Score 16?
CZ 455, Athlon Helos BTR, bipod on front bag in rear.

TAKE TWO. I decided to give this another run today using the .17HMR

Marlin 917V
Mueller 8.5-25x40 optic
Hornady 17gr VMAX ammo
Front rest and rear bag

SCORE = ZERO. Well, actually it was 22. I was on my way to a clean target when I lost track of one of those tiny holes through the spotting scope. I thought the upper right dot on the 6-die was empty, so I ended up putting a second shot into the dot. I guess I technically shot a clean target, just with 22 holes instead of 21.

DISQUALIFIED! :)

Addendum - I did manage to nail this piece of brass on a whim, which made up for my goof

DQ? Or just a 0 on that dot?

I have had this happen also. It sucks!

Hoping to shoot this target by the end of the month. Trying to learn skeet/trap right now and it is kicking my rear. To many years of rifle shooting. Skeet/Trap completely different ball game.

Finally made it out today. Very tough with the wind and those darn tiny dots!! I was able to shoot good with my Kidd lightweight barrel. The x14 magnification helped a lot. CCI SV. This was only one attempt with this gun.

Tried the CZ 455 American and could only score a 8, then a 10 on the second try. Scope is a Weaver 2-7. Needed more scope! I need to do some tweaking of the action screws too. I have not shot it much since I put the 22 barrel back in it.

Pulled out the other 10/22 and the crosshairs are thicker on that scope and I couldn’t even tell if I was on the dot. Shot 4 shots and gave up. These were some tough targets for my setups.

That must have been a heck of a wind to blow through all those trees! I tried this target with my son's stock 10/22 and had the same problem as you: optics were too underpowered to even see the dots.

You don’t have to see the dot yours aiming for...you just line the crosshairs up with the other dots. :D

That’s how I shot several of these with a 2-7 before I bought a 6-18.

I have a Vortex 6-18 that I will be putting on my Ruger American soon. Looking forward to those results.

I gave it another try today, not so good! The wind was doing some crazy things this afternoon, I couldn't guess where it was coming from, one shot to the right another to the left then a couple right on the center of the bull. Nothing worth posting, but I had a great time. We sighted in a new TC22 for my stepson and shot a bunch of ammo, about 700 rounds between the two of us. Hope someone else had better luck with the target. :)

Seeing some very good targets this month. Since breaking up my main rifle to sell it, I have not been able to get out there and shoot. At this point, with only the scope gone, I have been tempted to throw another scope on it and give it a try. My hunting rifles don’t have near the magnification needed to use one of those. My only air rifle is in .30, so looks like I need to add another one in .22 to compete.

Governor Cooper has cancelled all rimfire challenges until further notice. A gathering of one is prohibited.

I was hoping to get back into the monthly matches this month but alas ... now that the Wake County range is still closed indefinitely I'm without a 50yd range. Maybe I'll make a target with 1/4" dots and do it at 25 yards :D

Well I was going to shoot the target this morning and when I got to the range the wind was already blowing 20 steady and gusting over 30. So said the heck with it and the decision was made this afternoon to shut the range down this Tuesday until all this COVID crap is over. I will not be back this weekend. It was quite at the range too since Dare County is on restricted access. I come in from the west side before the check point.

Since putting the CZ away and selling the scope, I decided to give this a try with my air rifle. Doesn’t count as it is .30, but I decided to go for it anyway.

I’ll say I missed 3. Tops left on 3, top right on 5, and middle left on 6. The .30 actually took the edge of 3 and 6, but I plugged with a .22 pellet and not quite.

I might have to give this another go tomorrow. The other try had three more obvious misses, but I also forgot to shoot two of them!

Doesn’t count but it is what I have right now and enjoy shooting most. Hopefully, I’ll throw some more lead at it tomorrow.
