All I know is what I have experienced. Maybe it was because I didn't have the money to buy a qualified licence, permit, etc. to own a MG. Isn't that $200 fee an anual fee? It is extremely difficult for the average citizen to purchase and possess a MG. I just wanted him to prove how an every day legal citizen can obtain and own a MG. That's the proof aside from my knowledge and research I seek.
Title II of the Gun Control Act of 1968 is a revision of the National Firearms Act of 1934, and pertains to machine guns, short or "sawed-off" shotguns and rifles, and so-called "destructive devices" (including grenades, mortars, rocket launchers, large projectiles, and other heavy ordnance). Acquisition of these weapons is subject to prior approval of the Attorney General, and federal registration is required for possession. Generally, a $200 tax is imposed upon each transfer or making of any Title II weapon.
I probably will be leaving this site as I have in the past because when I question someone's integrity, I am hit with extreme negativism and never a straight answer to my questions. OK, I'll admit they are not "illegal" to most people, but out of the means of most people. But one thing for sure, they are extremely regulated and registered by the government.
No it is upon transfer 200 keep it 50 years or 2 months. Same 200 dollars. If you can own a pistol you can own a machine gun in nc . Taking out the money side of the equation getting all the new stuff is like doing drum brakes on a car. Annoying, some profanity, but not all that difficult.
Also perhaps, just a thought, stop questioning people's integrity? A 5 minute Google search would of given you all these answers and more. Without looking like a jerk.
Questions? Good. Disagreements? Fine. But you start disparaging people you better have all your rows in a duck, or it ain't gonna look pretty
