Did You Go Shooting Today

Shot the rimfire challenge today with 3 22’s. Did pretty good with one gun. Not so good with the others:( TINY targets! I was still popping a 6” plate at 100 yds with all 3. That was fun. C7DECF99-CED0-441D-B0A2-0205EB2CF00C.jpeg

Getting ready for the Glock match in Morgantown. 100 rnds. Of 40 S&W G 23 and 150 rnds 9mm G 17. After talking with Slappy McTrigger last week , i realized my grip was all wrong for timed shooting. So I'm trying the old dog new trick thing . Made some progress today but need to put many more bluetts down range.20200309_163345_001.jpg

@BigWaylon
Since you have so many of those, could you hang onto one for me? The more shot-up the better. I wanna put it out at the street. :)
I still have that one. But I can work another one over with the 410 if you’d prefer lots of holes. :D

Took the new CZ to the range to see how it shoots. Put around 200 through it, and shot it beside my current P-07 edc to see if it could take the job. I’m not that great of a pistol shot, so still figuring out if this is me, or the sights being a bit low. Either way, I was very happy with the grouping I was getting.

Either way...as long as passersby can recognize the message. ;)

I shot idpa at watauga gun club.
A 120 round beast from the mind of our on @Toprudder and a couple of others.
I shot the Colt competition model because the sights have gotten bumped off on the ria,
The colts a fine.gun but I missed the ria.

Got out early this morning. Tried out my new Kimber Raptor. I know Kimbers suck and they jam all the time but I wanted it. Shot good and didn’t jam but only put 200 rounds through it.

I shot some 9mm, .45, and my first 10mm, which was a little much for me, but at least I tried it.

There were some revolvers in there too, not sure of the names....but awesome.

(This was at Battery Oaks, so I was extra happy! Thanks to Billy and RS for having me down ...again!)

I have a love/hate relationship with the 1911 platform, primarily because I haven’t taken the time to get proficient with the platform, but the Kimber Raptor & Warrior series have always tripped my trigger and they are definitely part of my bucket list of guns I hope to own at some point!

It was nice meeting you. Thank you for letting shoot the 1911's.

Nice to meet you too.
I'm not sure if you'll be happy or sad to have shot them....a lot of us love them, but some have had problems! My "precious" was perfect that particular day....lol.
Anyway, go get one or a few of them, and have fun!

No longer mounted to John Deere Gator but on a Hilux

a machine gun on a hilux. the boys at Top Gear would nod approvingly.
How is the current plague affecting things over there? It looks like you keep a few hundred meters of safe space between yourselves and the natives (who are dropping left and right) while you guys drop them left and right...

Staying vigilant, keeping social distance from most, no large groups, Mess Hall To Go plates only, gym closed ect. Iran and Astan share a border and they have a deadly count.

Headed over to Woody's today before the county locks down. I was just about the only person there.

Sighted in my MAS-45 .22 training rifle with a new scope. very accurate at 50 yds but the gusting wind made 100 yd shooting difficult with it.

Had fun with the series 185 Mini-14 that those smarter than me say is junk and impossible to hit a barn from inside it. My eyes were watering so badly from the wind and pollen that I had trouble at 100 yds and could only keep it in the 9 ring. On other days it is a steady 10 ring shooter. I really like this peashooter even though I have more capable rifles on hand. This one just fits me perfectly.

The MAS-45 is a great Mauser 98 training rifle, I miss mine :(

I did!
For today, at least, my range is open.

I shot about 100 rounds of 9mm today in my CZ. Lovely gun, very accurate, if I do my part! lol.

I did well at 3 yards but things went badly at 5, so I'm staying at 3 for now, till I get used to the gun.

I did paint the front sight red, as I always do, until I can get a fiber optic on there....

Need to get that eye exam you keep putting off. Sorry to be a pain in the rear end. :)

Just got back from the range and boy it was busy but not as busy as I have seen on a warmer spring day. Making sure my favorite MSR of the moment had a 25yd zero and that my EDC 1911 was good to go.

Went to the range to shoot with my timer. Only other time I have shot with one was at Billy's. Grabbed the PPQ and a box of 9 MM that I thought was full. Got there and only had 20 rounds in the box but it was fun while it lasted. The to the long range to play around with the CZ 223. Just put a new scope on the gun and trying to figure out the dope. I must have mislabel the velocity of the rounds by 100 ft/sec. Anything past 300 yards was short. Out to 500 I was about 2 MOA off.

That what a 6'1" man looks like at 400 yards. The top of the 4 wheeler is also about 6' tall.
