The Carolina Firearms Forum and Grass Roots North Carolina are joining forces to re-establish this sub forum. The purpose of this forum is to disseminate important information about the threat to gun rights in North Carolina. This forum will be updated periodically by GRNC and will provide calls to action for those who are interested in doing so.
GRNC has added links to the CFF in multiple locations on their website. They have also added a link to the CFF in each of their email alerts. In return we are providing this forum for them.
There will be a few members of GRNC that will be able to create threads and post alerts. Moderation will be conducted by CFF mods and staff.

Understanding and acknowledging the history is necessary. As the moderator for this forum I would like to set the tone for further interactions with GRNC by stating the following:
Independent, freedom-minded individuals have every reason to find common cause. This is self-evident in these days and times. While it serves no purpose to belabor discussion of the various threats to the freedoms we hold dear (namely the inherent right to keep and bear arms) I will simply say that a divided front serves none but the enemies of liberty.
As independent thinkers we often strike out on our own paths. We are skeptical and critical at times. Such is as it should be. We are not followers. Cynicism is the mark of the rugged individual and precisely that which we rely upon to sift through the flotsam and jetsam of media to find the scarce remnants of truth.
In my journey adherence to principles has, at times, experienced slight mission creep. As a result I have found myself treating friends as foes. This has happened when they did not measure up to whatever lofty standard I foisted upon them despite struggling to reach such heights personally.
I’ve observed this as well from others, though to be sure I say this with no intention of besmirching any one’s character. And with my own admission that I am not a perfect being. Yet, I would ask that we refrain from returning to anything that resembles animus.
We are on the same side and therefore should not denounce that which falls short of perfection. Most especially when those intentions are inherently good.
I would simply ask that any differences be set aside in favor of cooperation and progress toward a goal that is near and dear to each and every one of us, i.e. our common interest in the preservation of the 2nd Amendment. GRNC as an organization is the most ardent supporter of gun rights we have in the state of NC. They have committed to fostering a great relationship with the forum and its membership.
I will do my best to set the example and would be grateful for your help in this regard.
Sincerely,
SOTG
