... and what happens if I do? Is there any point in 'following' someone? It doesn't seem to serve any useful purpose ... like for example alerting you when someone you follow makes a post or creates a thread (<--- because I'd really like to know those things). I've been meaning to ask this for a long time; I guess it took the Flugaloo lockdown timeout to get me to the point of actually doing so. Thanks!

I don’t follow or I won’t block anybody. Don’t honestly know anyone of here well enough to care either way. Obviously I like most people on here personalities but at the end of the day I truly don’t “Know” anyone.
I’m pretty much Anti social in my private life. At work I’m a social butterfly.( part of my job) I guess thats why at home I spend 95% of my time with family and close friends.
 
I tried the "follow" function on another (music-related) web board that uses the same (looking anyway) software/format as this one and it didn't apparently do anything.

I figured maybe I didn't do something right. Don't know. Didn't pursue it further. (Then I got perma-banned for calling Colin Kaepernick a "shoe salesman". :D Touchy bunch.)
 
I followed all the owners and staff. :D

I "was" going to follow you but seeing as you don't care and I know where you live anyway......
 
Well, I found one thing it does. When I look at the home page at the sidebar for people online, those I follow display at the top with their avatar. I guess that's something, though not what I would have hoped for.

In the midst of all this jocularity, I never did get an "official" response. :(
