Got a camp chef for Christmas. Going to break it in tomorrow with some pork tenderloin.

Any good apps out there for recipes or keeping notes about cooks?

And I got a pit boss from my wife for Crimmus.

I plan to bust its hymen with the shoulder from a wild pig. I need to be checking out seasonings, temps, and times.

Made some homemade bread on mine the other day. Turned out pretty good. The wife already had a great meal cooking on the stove/oven so I used the grill D9842D89-2AE2-43AE-808B-0BA6B536734F.jpegE29366AA-8E93-4E3C-AAAE-D26F6310962B.jpeg

Bringing this up to ask a question of the pellet smokers.

What do you do if an electrically control stops working mid cook? Has anyone run into any issues or are the electronics pretty robust?

You panic and fire up another grill. :D

My Yoder came with another fuse. From what I read about the Yoders is that the part most likely to fail is the ceramic igniter. You can get it going without that, but having a spare on hand would be good. I need to order one. If the electronics totally malfunction I think you are toast. I’ve got a Big Green Egg also so I could get by. I also have a grate for my little fire pit so that’s an option too.

I really would love to consolidate to just one grill, but the thought of something breaking in mid cook scares me. I will be curious to see how pellet grills do for the long haul.

Do you have just one gun? Why the heck would you limit yourself to one grill?

I’ve been wearing out the baby traeger since quarantine started...

This has all been done on the ranger since I’m quarantined away from my Timberline. I’ve been enjoying learning how to cook on this finicky bastard.

Kind of ironic, but went to go smoke some ribs on the Weber Kettle and my Pitmaster IQ wasn't working. Had to go back to using vents again.

Minion did a brisket flat the other day. Still have leftovers to munch on too. Pit boss is his favorite to use. He likes to set the temp, plug in probes and go play xbox.

Came out delicious
