So I had my first Saturday off in a while and figured I'd go scout out the range up at @VOD Tactical and I have to say I was impressed!
Frank is very nice people and a meager $40 got me 4 hours of unlimited access to every range they had to offer.
It's a really nice facility, they've got a great place to develop any sort of shooting skills you can imagine.
I was primarily there to look around and see what the place was all about, and to try out a couple of new pieces of gear at the same time, namely my new Sig Sauer Kilo 3000BDX rangefinder binoculars and my Kestrel 5700 Elite ballistic weather meter.
So I took my .308 AR as well as my 6.5 Grendel and spent quite a bit of time in excess of 4 hours shooting between 50 and 700 yards at steel and verifying that my new gear works with crazy accuracy.
When I finished taking my cool new gadgets around the block, I polished off the day by running a box of Defender Ammunition 175gr .308 subsonic rounds through my suppressor. Freaky quiet, just crazy quiet shooting. And exactly 10 MOA of elevation difference between supersonic and the subsonic ammo @ 100 yards, no windage shift whatsoever.
A great day, I'd encourage anyone who hasn't had a chance to go to get out and go see the range and meet Frank, I think you'll be impressed with both!
