Bubba Wallace = Jussie Smollett?

Some races require you to sell your car for a fixed price to any competitor who wants it after the race. Theory is this stops you from going crazy modifying your car and taking things too seriously.

We recently went to a race at the nearby East Lincoln dirt track. I was reading up on the rules and I found a section showing who had the rights to the winner's engine, ecm, etc. I didn't really get it until now so thanks.

Haven’t they got a shit ton of cameras there? I would think they already know who did it. Or have a good idea. The longer it takes the more spidey senses perk up.
And very limited access to the garage areas for safety (and other teams spying). This is not some race fan who snuck in ... this is someone who had access and ability to blend in.

Seems like the list should be pretty short. James Comey would have had this one solved already.

Trump did it! :p

My monies on the incident being a charade. With NASCAR nearing the end of their corporate advertising glut this move will rank them back up there for more ad money from the big dogs such as Amazon, Microsoft, even Nike with the current move to absolute diversity. Still it will be fun to see how they handle Darlington and the Southern 500.

LeMons (I know how I spelled it, I meant it that way) has a rule like that, to keep things in the spirit of the event.

That so called sport is dead in a decade unless this latest move doesn’t destroy them now. Corporate money dried up in 2008. Big sponsors are slowly pulling back by offering less funding.

I highly doubt this was a fan or track worker. If it is Bubba team stunt NASCAR better out them for trying to ruin the brand. I could careless about the races. I went free in the speedway club twice a year for many years free. I would drink beer, mixed drinks, and gorge on food then basically nap in a comfy chair behind glass on the start/finish line, row one, perfect view. My boss loved racing but the wife would not let him go on race day because it was family day and his balls were real tiny. So I got the club benefits.

They made a big deal of the noose incident before the start of the race today. Had Bubba's car out front of all the others and surrounded by all of the drivers and pit crews. 1st thing I saw was Richard Petty walk up and give him a reassuring hug and then all of the other drivers came up and did the same. I guess some sort of support gesture. I'm sure the whole deal was planned by Nascar.

Bubba Smollett’s mother is now coming out saying other drivers and crew have called Bubba racial terms over the past year or so ...

Yeah, where was the social distancing?

I figure LeBron James or some other poor deprived soul of color will be the grand marshal come February and the Daytona 500. NASCAR is all about money and if it’s kissing ass the money boys want they got the right crowd. Trouble is this wholesale change of power is coming more noticeable in every form of our daily lives.

Well... I suppose any chance of Kyle Larson getting a "second chance" are pretty much out the window.

As it should be. But he's gotta be sitting at home thinking "man.... I really f'ed up".
No. He's definitely not "sitting at home thinking man I really f'ed up"......
He's been racing. And winning. 9 times with 8 in a row.
Definitely not making the same money, but his life is not over....

While he might be winning, Im sure he still regrets his words.
He went from the top tier of oval racing to where he is now. The money cant be near as good, nor the fame either.
Not saying he's in it for those reasons, but Im sure they come into play

he said the N-word when he thought his microphone was turned off during an Internet media event.
I thought it was during an online race Nascar had set up, he dropped a hard N a few times

Could’ve been a race, and my memory could be wrong. But if I remember correctly during the event he thought his microphone was cut off and he was saying “ hey, hey, can you hear me? Hey N-word”. Something like that but like I said I could be wrong.

That is what I heard, but, hell, I could be wrong too buddy!
But, yeah, those are the words I remember hearing about

That's what he said during a televised I-Racing event. His microphone had been messing up, and he didn't realize he was live to everyone.

Larsen is too white to ever be reinstated in Cup racing. In this day and time Wallace could be caught in the same circumstance using the gook or similar word and nothing would be said. Pure BS I know but being white is not being free if it ever was.

I'm finding this claim to be a wee bit difficult to believe. I'm quite sure Bubba Wallace is completely capable of noticing the difference between whatever knot(s) are used on a door pull rope and a noose and whether or not this has changed.

And I'm doubting this would be something the FBI would be called in on.

If it's a common door pull knot, then pretty much all the door ropes will be the same way. And if the knot was changed...well, anybody with a lick of common sense will know you can't have a knotted pull rope for any period of time and then untie and re-tie it without it being obvious when you look at it.

FBI...so glad to see our tax dollars at work...

That garage is so open from end to end, I doubt anybody could actually hang the rope without being spotted. The ceiling height is such you’d have to have a ladder.

Instead of flying the stars and bars today’s racist whites should be displaying a hanging rope in their front yard to test the intensity of hate in the current USA. Little effort is needed to see being a all white family a couple of generations from now is jeopardy at best or death at worst.

Before long someone is going to have say a dog leash, horse lunge line or such in their vehicle and be accused of having a “noose” because that’s what some idiot sees it as ... heighten awareness w/irrational stupidity will show up ... any bets?

FBI says noose found in NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace’s garage had been there since 2019

The noose found hanging in Bubba Wallace’s garage stall at Talladega Superspeedway had been there since at least last October, federal authorities said Tuesday in announcing there will be no charges filed.

U.S. Attorney Jay Town and FBI Special Agent in Charge Johnnie Sharp Jr. said its investigation determined “although the noose is now known to have been in garage number 4 in 2019, nobody could have known Mr. Wallace would be assigned to garage number 4 last week.”

A crew member for Richard Petty Motorsports discovered the noose Sunday at the Alabama race track. NASCAR was alerted and contacted the FBI, which sent 15 agents to the track to investigate. They determined no federal crime was committed.

The statement said the garage stall was assigned to Wallace last week in advance of the race scheduled for Sunday but held on Monday because of rain. Through video confirmed by NASCAR it was discovered the noose had been “was in that garage as early as October 2019.”

The agencies said the evidence did not support federal charges.

Wallace, the only Black driver at NASCAR’s top level, successfully pushed the stock car series to ban the Confederate flag at its venues less than two weeks ago.
