Lol, I see what you did there. Well done.Management should transfer them all to a new division focused exclusively on vehicles for the victims of police brutality and oppression.
Unfortunately with Black immunity right now those supervisors would be arrested on hate crime chargesThe morons requesting this should be the ones getting pink slips

Pretty sure Hyundai wouldn’t want them. I think they are actually trying to make cars that don’t break down in the first 40,000 miles. What a bunch of idiots, if they don't want to work on the police models they can go work at Hyundai.
Lol, I see what you did there. Well done.
I didn't. Guess I should focus.
I'd imagine they'll demand the union do something to protect them too. Then complain that rich executives are profiting too much by firing them and need to have their wealth redistributed. The morons requesting this should be the ones getting pink slips
It fits along the same lines as the gun is evil, not the person wielding it. The car is evil.
ChicagoAre the Interceptors made in Detroit?
Of all people to request this, why in the world would the people who’s jobs partially depend upon it, ask for this???? Another case of thinking with their heart and not their head.
While I have no idea what percentage of Fords business is LE fleet, nor what their margins are on that business, I can’t imagine a company would willingly walk away from a profitable chunk of business, knowing it has repercussions such as possible layoffs and impact to production lines of other vehicles on that same platform.
That's the same thing to me.Chicago
pretty muchThat's the same thing to me.
Oh I know, parts are definitely where the money is, and that’s not just in the auto industry. I used to run parts pricing for a large mfg in a different industry haha. If Ford were to look at profit over the life of the vehicle, which I’m sure they do, it has to be significant. The margins on the vehicles themselves are much lower. The parts however are not state contract price or bid, and cops wreck cars, wear suspensions, and smash rims on the regular. I can't speak for all municipalities but OEM is preferred for replacements for the PD/FD where I am familiar. Ever looked at the price of an OEM steelie from a dealership? It's stupid. Bumper covers and headlight/taillights for the late model PPVs outrageous.

Chicago
You know, Chicago is a lot windier than Detriot and the wind leaves a lot of dirt and grit all over you that Detroit doesn't even have...That's the same thing to me.
How can they now trust these employees not to sabotage the vehicles?
