2021 Bronco officially released

I will never pay over $15k for a vehicle let alone $40k plus.

Never say "Never", friend. I thought the same thing, until I bought a brand new Tahoe three years ago. Sometimes spending money makes sense.

I want to see the towing specs on these and then I will decide if it’s worth a divorce or not.

The figure I read was 3500 lbs towing capacity.

I do not like. Isn’t anyone capable of making a simple, straightforward utility vehicle, not styled by Mattel, any more?
The truth is, nope.....

All manufacturers play to the profit margin.

Guys like us want those vehicles. If we like it we keep it until it dies 10 plus years later.

Simple, tough, long lasting.

But...

They are out to appease buyers who buy every couple years. The new cool, the new tech, the new style. That is what they crave.

So that's what dealers sell them. So that's what manufacturer's build:(

Ford still sells the XL trimmed F150 with manual crank windows. Those trucks are out there.

Indeed. I wish I could buy top-tier interior without ALSO getting the over-done exterior trim package. It's getting to be impossible.
I’ve bought the Lariat trim package on my truck for a long time now. You used to be able to buy the Lariat with a rubber mat instead of carpet. Ford cut that out 7 or 8 years ago. I hate carpet in a truck that’s used around the farm or out camping or other messy outdoors activity. A buddy of mine owns a grading company. He ordered a rubber mat and was going to have his mechanic install it. Too much work! It’s still rolled up and laying in his shop.

I THINK one of our members was making parts for this
We make parts for it where I work. Inner fender wells and under dash panels. That’s written in the fender wells.

You'd think they'd figure out lots of successful adults who still get their hands dirty would go for leather seats and advanced electronics and still want farm/construction site floors and no kidstuff on the exterior.

The subset of people looking for that setup is extremely small. IMO leather doesn't age well and should be avoided on work vehicles.

I do wish they didn't waste so much on fancy wheels. I don't like those much.

I think most of the advanced electronics are available as options on the XL trim. I did a bunch of research a while ago on truck options but there most of it out because I was planning to buy a Chevy.

Reviving this one. I’ve seen 2 in person. Both Black. Did not look impressive in person as far as looks and styling. My wife who knows zero about cars and trucks asked if it was a Suzuki Sidekick.

That isn‘t good. 😂

Saw one today in Raleigh; black. Same reaction.

I parked across from one Saturday at a wedding. Looked like a rav4 with a bunch of plastic trim on it. I wasn’t impressed one little bit but I drive a 13 year old pick up truck. New flashy vehicles have never done anything for me.

I have seen 2 around town but im pretty sure both of them were the bronco sports and not the actual broncos

That makes sense. I thought the published pic’s looked good. Hopefully some models with some pizzazz start hitting the streets.

Same. Saw a new Bsport in Highlands a couple weeks ago. But that's it.

What's funny about the area is SOMEONE will have a super rare varient of normal vehicles around here, there are a few blue and several od green trd pro rigs running around here for example.

Since the true Bronco is out I presume one will appear soon in my area

2021 Ford Bronco Pricing

These are the headline numbers: The two-door, base-model Bronco with no options will cost $29,995, including the $1,495 destination charge. That's a little more than the 2020 Jeep Wrangler Sport's $29,790 price (also including destination), but the base Bronco will likely be a bit less Spartan inside than the Jeep. Those interested in a Bronco with four doors will find a $34,695 price after destination, or $3,395 more than the four-door Wrangler Sport.

That’s bonkers

I would PAY for some 10x19 STEEL WHEELS with dog food hubcaps on a F-150. The last 3 I got were Not what I wanted.

I wouldn't be mad if they went back to 15" and 16" wheels. Seems like every model the wheels get bigger and bigger and bigger, now 18" or 20" or 22" from the factory and people stuffing 24" or 28" aftermarket under their cars.

Can’t fit the brakes of many current vehicles in 15-16” wheels. I’m with you though, I No fan big wheels with mud tires. Give me some 15x10 or 15x12s wrapped in 35s.

At least along with the bigger wheels we're getting bigger tires too. The Chevy 3500 I'm looking at comes with 34" tires from the factory. I remember when 31x10.50 was HUGE

I was discussing the Ford suv's with my brother recently. The full size Bronco likely never should have been discontinued after 1996. It could have easily evolved into a 2 and 4 door model in place of the Expedition. The Explorer should have never went crossover, and the Excursion should have never been axed.

Saw one of these in the wild today. I thought i was behind some weird three-way love child cross between a Mini Cooper, a Jeep Renegade, and a Rav4-thing. In other words: not impressed. PLus, it had these wimpy skinny tires. It's basically a 0.5% different offering from every other "crossover" thing on the street. Not the trend-setting beast the Bronco once was.

Poor castrated Bronco. RIP.

EDIT: To be clear, it was a "sport" version I saw. If that's like the other manufacturers, that means "you couldn't afford the cool version we put in all our publicity shots, so there's this one that gets something similar."

I'm shocked, I don't hate this. After the Ford Ranger mess, I assumed I would.

Those were the cheap wheels....
