I didnt hit my head though, and the hit wasnt that bad. Not even an airbag
at least there is an Arby's right there!
honestly, they dont carry a lot of value, and I dont know how bad (cost) it is for straightening out a 1/4 panel. Im sure it's not totaled though
No...but....You can be right, or you can be dead right.
I wasn't around when they wrote that law, but I'll bet the intent wasn't for people to pull over in front of a patrol car when he was chasing somebody.

That's where youre wrong, I AM a body man, have the shirt AND coffee mug to prove itDamn glad you are as well as you think you are. Adrenaline is a hell of a drug. When it wears off the stiffness and soreness will follow. Definitely get checked out at least. Get several estimates for repair of the party car. Youād be surprised what it takes to total a vehicle. Btw no offense, but you are not a doctor or a body man. Let a professional have a look.
I slept great, had two alarms set last night, one at midnight, one at 3. I slept well.
What can a doctor check for, exactly. No bumps bruises or scrapes.
I thought about it last night, and this morning, maybe I should get checked out just in case.
@wvsig and @chiefjason 's posts have me bummed. Man, just paid this off about 10 months ago or so, really liked not having a car payment, so I hope they're wrong. But, as stated, I want it fixed right. I took care of that car since buying. Have receipt for every oil change and the one issue it had (power steering).
Did you get a police report? Contact the shift supervisor for that agency and tell them they need to take care of running into your car. They should have a body shop to recommend. Appraisals are usually free but might take a while. The agency should take care of this. If not, I would start buy turning your insurance agency loose on them to force the issue. Then a call to a lawyer might not hurt either. You should not have to be paying for this. When I was hit by a cop it really didn't hurt the truck so I settled for a check and moved on. But the way I was hit, and the cop left the scene, I was not letting them off the hook. He would have forced most drivers into an accident with what he did to me.

Reaffirms my choice for the Challenger over another Veloster. More protection from stupid.Glad you are okay. That stuff is freaking scary.
I have witnessed two of those. Both during rush hours with heavy traffic. Both times I saw what was coming up behind me and instinctively pulled completely off the interstate (into the grass). The first one made the tremendously stupid error of zipping in front of a 18-wheeler. He was clipped by the truck and landed on his side in the center median. The second time (once I was able to re-enter the lane) I saw the perps car wrapped around a tree on the bank of the next exit.
Both incidents have made me despise driving on the interstates in heavy traffic.
My step-mother had neurological damage from a car wreck. Even developed "chemical sensitivity syndrome." Either that or it is was just another symptom of her hypochondria.I was in a bad rear end collision back in Feb. 2006 and only had "soft tissue injuries". To this day, I'm still feeling the results of that wreck. My wife said that my personality changed after the wreck and I have never been the same since, mentally or physically.
Yep, incidents like this illustrate one of the few positives about my commuting in a 3/4-ton pickup.Reaffirms my choice for the Challenger over another Veloster. More protection from stupid.
Back in the 80's a friend of mine who was a pickup driver*** and I were discussing vehicle integrity.
I had a small car and was boasting on its safety ratings, "crumple zones", and crash tests.
He said "the crumple zone of my truck is the other guy's car".
***(Young'uns won't know this, but prior to the early 90's, the people driving pickup trucks were mostly people who had a use for a truck. Trucks were relatively rare on the road).
Here's a fun fact: The rise of the pickup truck and SUV as a mainstay of passenger transportation is an almost direct result of US tax law.
In 1991, the US imposed the Luxury Tax. A tax on vehicles over $30,000. To make sure this didn't hit "working people", they didn't tax vehicles over a certain weight, as those surely would be work trucks/farm vehicles/etc. There was no such thing as a 'luxurious' truck in 1989.
In the early 90's, there were also changes in the way you could write off a vehicle for business. It made more financial sense to have an overly large truck or SUV than a minivan from a total-cost-of-ownership perspective.
With the changes in buying habits, "regular" people followed, as market offerings increased. The US economy embraced this change, as Japan had made a huge hole in auto sales, and only the US was cranking out large SUVs and trucks in the US market.
In 2002, the luxury tax was repealed, but the damage was done. The US market had gone all-in on overpriced inefficient trucks.
Also note, the dates of these rules correspond exactly with the last time you could buy a reasonably priced truly small pickup truck in the US.
I swear a woman here did that and was run over and Killed by the Emergency Service truck.Cop hits me, ima roll out and lay in the road til they put me on a stretcher.

Yep, I always suggested a 5 year old Lincoln Town car for kid's first vehicle.In'68 a girl I knew in HS got her drivers license and her dad bought her an Electra 225 to drive.
Biggest car in the HS parking lot.
OMG, she has hypochondria? Have you told how serious that is and the multitude symptoms that can present with???My step-mother had neurological damage from a car wreck. Even developed "chemical sensitivity syndrome." Either that or it is was just another symptom of her hypochondria.

She is also borderline agoraphobic.
But she is generally nuts. If I could is add her to the NICS prohibited person list.
She's been doing that for decades[emoji1][emoji16][emoji38][emoji28][emoji1787]
