Things must be getting real slack there lately. I ordered a CRATE of the Korean .30carbine from them ... I actually wanted the wooden crate as a kinda collectible but I received it today and it was just 2 cans ... not the CRATE I wanted and ORDERED.

I placed the order on Thursday 9/3/20, my VISA was charged the full amount on 9/5/20 and the order was supposedly packaged, labeled and ready for UPS on Thursday 9/10/20 approximately @ 3:30. It was suppose to arrive on the afternoon of Friday 9/11/20 which it did not. I checked with UPS and it never was shipped. I know the website said expect shipping to be 7-10 days but for the label to have been created and the package to sit for 4 days which included 2 business days (Thursday and Friday). I sent an email to customer service on Monday 9/14 but never heard anything back.

I use to love this place and have kinda defended it lately when others here had voice other concerns ... but now I’m beginning to wonder what’s up.

I’ve been ordering lots of stuff during “this mess”. Not only guns stuff but everything. One thing I’ve noticed is that many sellers create the shipping documents immediately (probably automatically). So, there’s often a tracking number the day of the order or a day later, It hasn’t been unusual for the picking, packing and shipping to take several more days.

It was 7 day from the order to when the shipping label was created ... I really think they pulled it, boxed it but it sat there because they aren’t paying close attention ... like when they pulled 2 cans instead of th sealed crate I ordered.

But they sure Rand my credit card quick.

On the other hand, my Brownells order from last Thursday arrived today.

I'm curious how much they were charging for .30 carbine when you ordered. SGA has this stuff too and it's selling for .36/round plus shipping.

37¢ per round plus sales tax & shipping ... but they are an NC company and had been good in past dealings.

I can say their prices lately have been ridiculous

.37 per round on .30 carbine in ammo cans and bandoliers isn't too bad a price. It's on par with what I had been paying for it pre-covid.

Classic, SGA and Outdoor all 3 have a metric ton of this Korean Mil-Surp and are selling it roughly the same way and price. The C-19 panic really has not hit this mil-surp stuff yet ... but I was thinking stack it deep with my couple M1 Carbines (and another one if the right deal comes along).

How can Natchez sell 9mm for 30¢ a round and OL is 80¢? 30¢ is high for 9mm but more than double that from OL is definitely in the ridiculous category.

CTD has reman 9mm 115gr for $2.00 a round.

Get ‘em while they last.

Back to the OP ... this afternoon I received a call from Outdoor Limited’s owner after exchanging emails with their CS department and a unfriendly call to them. He personally called to try and fix the problem as well as apologize for their part in dropping the ball. He offered to do several things to compensate me but ultimately I didn’t take them ... his personally calling and asking what happened was enough for me. It was nice to just be heard and we left it at that!

Anyway, he did tell me they are swamped ... over 9,000 open orders and almost half his staff are newer employees. In the beginning I told him how we here had loved OL but prices were a big discussion and a few slow service things. He listened and did say he was going to check on things and see what might need addressing but no much he could do with pricing in this market.

Anyway ... David calling personally means at least OL is listening ... if you make a call.

Over the years, I’ve spoken with David a couple times and exchanged a few emails. He always seemed like a good and genuine guy. That’s what doesn’t square with his recent pricing.

On the other hand, if he’s got 9,000 open orders at those prices, more power to him. He won’t miss my puny business.

Yep, just fill those orders and more like it for the next few years and when you're making 300% margin you don't have to worry about 'long term' because everyone will have forgotten by the time you need money again.

Got a back-in-stock notification today. I’ll pass...

Dad used to say “Cheap at half the price”. :D

I have a sinking suspicion that some unscrupulous people are buying bulk ammo and simply reselling it at a higher price. Yesterday i saw 45 ammo cheaper than 9mm ammo 115 versus 230 grain PMC FMJ's. So even the big sellers are selling based on what they think they can get and not disguising it.. Some smaller guys are probably buying it and selling at an even larger mark up. I have decided to not participate any longer in this madness. I will just dry fire more and maybe finally buy airsoft crap. I just hate spending real money on toys.
