What’s your BBQ gun?

Serious question.... do people go to a BBQ with their BBQ guns? Some time later in the day they are all whipping them out to the oohs and ahhs of admiring fans?

Darned toot'n. My mom's a TX gal and I've inherited her ways: and so if I go to a BBQ in NC, I need visibly to project force. ;)

/absurd hyperbole

Is this really a thing?

If so, I guess mine would be a Monson, Mass Dan Wesson .357. It’s rare enough where most folks will have never held one. And cool enough where it would appeal to anyone who likes pistols. It might not be shiny enough to win a beauty contest, though.
I don’t know the “history” of the term “Barbecue Gun”. Maybe it’s a western thing for which us eastern rubes have no experience, but there is a history of “gentlemen” shooting things like parlor guns in their in-home ranges after dinner, while the women skee-dattled, and the men smoked cigars and proved their marksmanship. Started in western Europe.

This one was dang accurate.

They also serve as working guns.

Model 29-2 8 3/8"
One of my favorite guns to shoot and its been shot a good bit. But... My true BbQ gun would have a belt and boots to match the holster. Still trying to figure out if I want to go ostrich or stingray.

No, it’s not a thing...because you can’t actually go to a BBQ. You can eat BBQ. You can go to a cook-out, or a pig pickin’, or even a block party...but not a BBQ. 😎

no, I’m shooting an original Browning model 1919 In the pic. It had a much slower cyclic rate than the aircraft Stinger version (500 rpm versus 1000+ for the stinger).

Originally 30-06, that one was rechambered in 8mm Mauser due to the lower cost of the ammo.

Oh Yeah?

I saw someone resembling you at Joe’s BBQ just the other day. 😂

Same gun as my non-bbq gun.
Glock42 or 43.

I also wear the same clothes and shoes to BBQs. And arrive in same car.

Howdy D****t! :D

Was actually more of a Dudley's Draw fellow tbh. Played a lot of foosball therein.
Lest we forget Shadow Canyon and the “Hurricane”!
Then we’d slide on down to Snook to the Czech Tex!
