Yep, promised the wife that I'd build her a storage building back in November. I got started on it then and hurt my back. I couldn't work on it till February. The plywood a bought in Nov was $30 a sheet. I needed one more piece and that stuff was $55 a sheet last night. 🤯

I won't even talk about the quality of 2x4s. Most of those never should have left the mill.

Oh yeah, newt must have forgot his meds, or his PMS had kicked in hard. 😁

The "dumb things heard at a gun store" thread was a fine tune up though. Worth the read.

I think a lot of the self induced chafing that led to Newts discomfort started there.
 
When they get banned they just sign up under a new name and email address from another IP. Probably will return just to see what is being said.

Facebook and Twitter has people on edge about free speech. Unlike those two platforms the rules are very clear and the fact checkers here are the community that call out the BS.

Don’t need to prove anything, I have lots of confidence in the long time members here. Anytime I need gun answers this is were I come. Even answers on vehicles and how to do task. I’ve saved a lot of money and grief on this platform.

Unlike others here I have bought from or given people free stuff after banter back and forth. People are different in person than behind a screen. There is more to a guy than some text.

Wonder if he realizes the mods very likely can see his IP, if he rejoins under a new name.

I had a lot of fun with that on another site. You develop a "feel" for the patterns certain postings take, then you check the IP...yep, same person.

Of course, if they're using VPN or a different location...
 
Well, hell. I just read through this whole thread hoping to find a way I could just walk past that "No Metal Detecting" sign at the entrance to the park and metal detect anyway, since rules apparently don't apply to you if you whine (or whinge, in tribute to the several Monty Python references above) loudly enough. It will always amaze me that people have a need to announce their departure. What do they seek to gain? Pity? And apology? Groveling acceptance of their misfortune being wrongly inflicted? Leading a mass exodus of like minded people?

I guaranty that >if< I should ever leave this site, it will be unnoticed. The only word will be after months when some random person thinks “I haven’t seen B00ger post in a while”...and that will be all.

I love many of you here. Consider some of y’all good pals. Those who care will know, and those who don’t never cared. So it won’t matter.

Yep.

They're almost as annoying as those who constantly complain about how the site "sucks" and yet never move one to something they like better. Never saw much sense in people hanging on like that to a website that doesn't put food on the table, a roof over the head, or pay the bills. I just chalk it up to drama queens that just have to be heard.
