Can we get a transfer cost thread going?

For Cumberland County, Jery’s has three locations. They are $15 for Mil/LE and $25 (I think) for everyone else. They also charge tax on a transfer so the $15 becomes $16.05. Good folks there and zero drama.

Still pay $15 at Flip Flop Firearms in Bostic, NC and $20 at Butlers in Forest City.

🤔 What about an FFL that will ship in High Point area? Will need to send out an item soon.

If the FFL on the other end will accept from a civilian, you can ship it yourself with a copy of you DL enclosed.

Generally, isn’t is cheaper to go FFL route because they can ship USPS?
Never done it so I don’t know. You can also check www.shipmygun.com (part of Bud’s).

It really depends on what your FFL charges you. Mine will charge me $15 plus USPS Priority Mail which ends up cheaper than shipmygun but these days I would use Shipmygun to avoid USPS. Also if you have a UPS account you can ship it overnight through them and declare it. They have been running a coupon for 40% of air freight since 3rd Qtr 2020. This assumes that the receiving FFL will accept from an individual which is perfectly legal but many FFLs claim it isn't.

High Point Pawn and Jewelry (2918 N Main St High Point) is $25.00. That's who I use now that Coins and Stuff is not accepting firearms.
Wait they stopped accepting transfers??? I used to go through them all the time since they used to have free FFL transfers.

They’re completely out of the firearms biz.

Still no luck find a place to ship out for me. Buyer's FFL won't accept a handgun from an individual.

It may already be back in this thread but I use Lake Norman Pawn on 73 in Denver. $20 + $5 each for additional items on the transfer. Pretty chill place and nice guy.
I know this is a year old post but just wanted to say thanks and +1 for LKN Pawn! They quickly sent a copy of their license to the online dealer as I requested via email, they called me minutes after the guns were delivered, they have good hours, they’re super laid back, I was in & out in like 10min, and only $25 to xfer 2 guns. The only way to make them better is if they were closer to my house haha.

I charge $20 for transfers in the Chapel Hill/Pittsboro area. I'll discount multiple lowers/long guns, but since Chatham makes me mail (or hand deliver) the multiple handgun form to them, I can't really discount multiple handguns.

Hey there folks, we are a fairly new home based 01 FFL in Cary, but on the Chatham County side of the line near Yates Store Road.
Currently our transfers are offered by appointment with availability from 8am-8pm 7 days week.

Our fee schedule-
Inbound:
Handgun - $15 - Requires valid CCH/Pistol Purchase Permit
Long Gun - $25 - Save $10 if you have your current CCH or Pistol Purchase Permit
Each additional Gun on same transfer: $5
Surprise Gun Fee - $50 - This fee applies on any firearms that just "show up" without coordination.

All outbound transfers will be a flat fee of $25 + Shipping & Handling & Insurance costs from Carrier.

You can email [email protected] or call 984-208-6171 for scheduling.

My LGS had $20 transfers for a long time; then went to $25 a few years ago. I think they just went to $40, and that's STILL the cheapest around here!

BTW, Classic Firearms has a "local" pickup option now. Beltway Pawn in Matthews picks up orders for locals on Fridays. $25 total. Skipping the shipping, plus transfer. Don't know if they call you on that Friday, but I'm guessing Saturday would be the pickup day.
