Wake County NC Lunch/Dinner thread

If we were to start up a Wake County NC monthly lunch or dinner meet (anyone invited)would you come?

Well from what I’ve seen there’s several Southern Wake / Northern Harnett CFF people much less the rest of the surrounding area. I’m interested in a monthly lunch (or dinner) meet up and am testing the waters. Any CFF from another area is invited of course. What say Ye?

I'm in Durham county up near Person county. Depends on what part of Wake . Lunch would be my preference.
 
So far looking like Lunch on a weekend or supper during the week are the front runners. To keep things roughly centered for the people that have responded so far I think the Apex area would maybe be within 30 minutes for most yes? So any thoughts on a friendly place to eat around there? I’ve had Alpacas and Skippers seafood in Apex that are both great but a little pricey. Thoughts?

I work from home in NW Harnett County (near FV) but I'm up for breffast, lunch or supper in Chatham, Harnett or Wake counties. @Sp00ks lives like 327 feet down the road from me but I don't know if he'd be interested or not. Had to mention my neighbor though 😉

Well we’re at 16 yesses so looks like it’s about time to set something up. I’ll post in this thread later this week maybe and we’ll keep everything here to keep it simple. Maybe we can set up something for next week. To be continued……

Naw! It's more like 1/4 mile. 😉

If the first get together is between April 7 and 16, I will have to pass til next time. Mrs. bkv and I are going to Europe for a few days and i had better not try to back out of that.

Ok. For our first meet up what about lunch at J&S in Fuquay-Varina on Sunday 4/24/2022 at 12 noon? It is an Italian restaurant specializing in NY Style pizza. I ate there today to try it out and they have 2 slices and a drink cheap and the slices are huge and service is fast. Shawn is the cook and says he will take care of us. They also have wings and salads and garlic knots and pasta and all that too but the pizza was great. Everyone chime in if you have input!! Oh and bring your better halves if ya like!!

I can make it on the 24th. We eat there quite often and one of the owners is my neighbor. Had their garbage pizza one night this past week. I love that stuff. The keto stromboli is very good too. (For the carb sensitive folks like me)

Tomorrow, April 24th at 12 noon ( That’s when they open) at J&S in Fuquay Varina. I don’t know how many are coming so I didn’t reserve any tables or anything but I told the cook and a couple more we were doing this and they said they could shove a couple big tables together if needed. See ya tomorrow!

I wish y'all the best of luck with your get togethers. I know the ones we have and the Charlotte ones I've been to we have sat and talked for a few hours and made some great friends.
