It's the progenitor of the harem anime. And, as an OVA, it's a movie that's like 20 movies long. I like bang for my buck.

I think it was more the coming of age of George. Going from young nomad dreamer to straight up ole yellering his traveling companion.

All that ‘80’s stuff. Sixteen Candles, Weird Science, Porky’s. Forgot about Dazed & Confused since I was in my mid 20’s when it came out & my head was stuck in high school.

Hmmm... What about Forrest Gump? Kinda spans more than just 'coming of age' but definitely covers that...
