Your latest alcohol purchase

I am in Atlanta for the weekend. I am always looking for some store picks which did not work out for me. My son did get me a bottle of Kentucky Spirits and Russel Reserve store picks. I did find Heavens Door Special Edition, a Ron Cenetro 20 year old rum and a 1.75 of Plantation 5 year old. The 1.75 is hard to find in Savannah. Going to 2 more stores on Saturday. FTW, I did pass on a bottle Oldfelithy 21 at Costco. A little over my price for 149 a bottle. If I enjoyed scotch that much or had a GOOD friend drink it, it most likely gone home with me.

If you like the ME gin (and you can do Anise flavor) try 1000 Piers from Washington NC. It's a beautiful citrus and anise forward gin with a floral finish.

Thanks i will look in to getting a bottle. Just burned out on Tang

Got the final part of the cocktail mixer ingredients (sweet vermouth) today with a stop at total wine, and picked up some beer options as well IMG_2173.jpeg

I had to go to Atlanta for the weekend. Found a couple bottles and traded a couple with my son.
I cannot find the Plantation 5 YO 1.75 bottles anymore in Savannah, so I picked one up.
Also, got a bottle of Ron Centenaro 20 YO rum and a bottle of Limited-Edition Haven's Door Single Barrel finished in an Irish Whisky barrel, I have never seen it before.
Traded my son for a couple store picks. A Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirit and a bottle of Russell's Reserve both from Total Wines and More.

I stopped into Habersham Beverage today to get a case of beer for the lake, and I heard a voice from the office "hey Ricky, I got something for you". They just got a case of Short Barrel Toasted bourbon. Will knew that I like toasted bourbons. He also had some Basil Hayden Toasted but passed on that one. I have an unopen bottleShort Barrel - Toasted.jpg

That looks like something right in my wheelhouse

I have plenty of EH Taylor and I have Weller 107, special reserve, and Eagle Rare is no problem but have yet to find Stagg. The Willett I haven’t found that either

Today’s pickup. The Redemption is pretty good. Was on sale at a similar price to Benchmark, which I’ve realized is a good mixer but pretty harsh neat. Sagamore up next.

I can't find Weller of any kind or Col E H Taylor and you have 6 Weller Special Reserve and E H Taylor. I have the Stagg Jr and 2 bottles of Eagle Rare. ☹️
I ended up with 8 bottles of weller but two are going to friends so I didn’t add them to the lineup. Btw I’d do some trading.

My stagg didn’t last long. Friend said he’s been looking for one over a year and he was actually wanting to drink it so I passed it along.

A friend at the lake wife loves the Crown Royal Salted Caramel as asked if I could pick up a couple for her. It is hard to find them around the lake and when they have it, the cost is about $15 higher. While at the shop, I noticed that they had some Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Store Pick (126.4 proof) and had to have one.

My daughter, who will be 23 in Oct, is a tequila snob. Top shelf, high-end, "blanco" offerings only. Today, I bought her a bottle of Don Julio, 818 and Casa Migos as a "happy." She quit her job earlier this week as a CNA so that she can concentrate on her studies and pre-testing to get into nursing school after the first of the first of the year. UNC and Duke are the schools she's hoping to get accepted into.

I am into collecting and drinking Plantation's Rum yearly editions. I picked these up today. Also was offered a Colonial Taylor Small Batch.

I have the Plantation 2008 to go along with the 2010 and 2013.
