That's right mister. Guacamole is disgusting. Just say no to green food.My diet this past weekend in Atlanta was atrocious. The only green thing I ate was guacamole. Time to clamp it down.

Joking aside, I need to get back to it. I'm making chicken breast with Adobe sauce and serving on shredded lettuce and cabbage fir dinner.
Same. The talk about putting it on toast like it's some kind of delicacy just makes me insane. And it's frequently used to ruin sushi.i've tried eating avocado (its very healthy and a great addition to keto), but i just cant get over the flavor...bleh
i do use the oil in place of vegetable/canola though

I've also started snacking on cottage cheese. I've always HATED cottage cheese, but apparently that's because someone was always making me try the atrocious low fat and trash brands. The full fat Breakstones stuff is actually pretty decent. Was surprised to see how much protein is in each serving.
I just can't do cheese and fruit for whatever reason. Definitely more apt to try it with spicy/savory.I hate cottage cheese by itself, but dig it with fresh fruit. A great pre/post-workout snack.
That's awesome! As of this morning I hit a new goal. >240#. At 238, I'm down exactly 70# from my heaviest.
Significantly.That's awesome!
How much better do you feel?
Haven’t been trying to lose weight necessarily (just my beer belly). Don’t have a scale but this is week 3 of going to the gym and I’m finally starting to not be dead after or sore for multiple days after. Just need to completely quit smoking cigs 😓
Yep. There was a bit of a yo-yo effect with me. I concentrated suuuper hard to lose a large amount in a year, got down to about 220 eventually. I then sort of let my guard down, and over 6 months went back to about 250. I managed to arrest the spiral, make some changes that are more sustainable, and I'm pretty steady in the low 230s now, which is a fine weight for me.Losing it over time like that makes it more likely you will keep it off, statistically. Good job.
I suspect I will always have remnants of the dad bod. I'm 56 and have been overweight and out of shape for the better part of a decade maybe a little longer. As long as I'm trying, I'm feeling better and it's working even a little I will be happyAccording to the likely out of calibration scale at the YMCA, I'm right at 200 lbs, which is a solid 10 less than when I retired from active duty 15 years & 40 less than when I got sick of being fat & broken 2 years ago (after 10+ years at 235-240). I'm down to needing a belt with 34W pants from 36W & my XL shirts are miraculously no longer too short. Even lost the lion's share of my love handles, though at 54, I 'spect the ol' dad bod gut just ain't going away in its entirety.
GF & I joined the Y here in our little town so we could keep exercising/working out since we don't have enough light or warmth for our tastes to walk this time of year. I've been doing yoga a couple times a week during the day & we've been swimming 3-4x/wk at night for a month now & I feel better than I've felt in years & years. Not sure which kicks my butt harder, though. I knew swimming would be tough, but man, mad props to the yogis. That stuff is hard, at least when yer old & broken. Yowza.
They also offer kickboxing, "water combat", core strengthening, Pilates, etc. classes & have a really nice gym. Once I get a decent base down with the yoga & swimming (anytime I push too hard, I get (re)injured & I am SO over that), I want to check out the water combat & kickboxing classes.
Same. She's not quite a year older than me & we just want to stay fit & active. We're not done going on adventures & having fun.I suspect I will always have remnants of the dad bod. Mostly this. I started using MyFitnessPal food/calorie logging app. I quickly realized sugar is a drug. I went through withdrawal when I cut out the junk food.dropping most sugar/breads/carbs and eating smaller healthier portions
