Seems a guy entered the Archdale warehouse demanding everyone get down, fired off a few rounds for emphasis. During the course of events the "shooter" mentioned who he was looking for and realized he was at the wrong location and mentioned needing to be at MY location by street name.

I was outside smoking before we were informed of all this and saw the police roll up, about a dozen marked and unmarked units blocked the street at my location and starting pulling out their long guns. I went back inside to let others know something was going down and management had already assembled staff for the update.

None of the men in my office were overly concerned, we're a (unofficially) well armed bunch.

I'd be surprised if this was a vendetta against CC, more likely someone being owed money, drugs, or porking someone's old lady.

I'm at 3030 s main Street now. Where this at?

It's dissipated now.

You work at a taqueria? I didn’t see that one coming 😂

Well, I'm Mexican, so there's that. 🤣

HR just got us all together. The person of interest isn't a former employee but short of that they weren't very forthcoming, you know how management is with their secrets.

Amongst the peasants our bets are on drugs/money, OPP, or the very remote chance of it just a random deranged person.

Damn. I'm likely going to lose my bet.

ARCHDALE, N.C. (WGHP) — Police are searching for a man who reportedly fired multiple shots at an Archdale business.

Tuesday morning, Archdale Dispatch confirmed that there was an “active investigation in the area of Comanche Drive/Cheyenne Drive area of Archdale with officers on the scene”

At about 9:07 a.m. on Tuesday, police said officers responded to reports of a male suspect, later identified as Joshua Blaine Arquette, 36, entering Carolina Container and firing multiple shots before leaving the scene in a white truck.

Police say no one was hurt, but the shooting did leave behind property damage.

Randolph County deputies found the suspect vehicle in their jurisdiction, unoccupied, shortly after the crime.

Randolph County Schools said that “Wheatmore Middle School was placed on full lockdown from 9:22 a.m. to 9:28 a.m. and then was directly moved to modified lockdown from 9:28 a.m. to 9:54 a.m.”

New Market Elementary was placed on modified lockdown from 11:05 a.m. until 1:10 p.m.

Doesnt seem like all THAT big a deal...

That's more or less the same reaction the peasants had. Told my boss I was "going to my car". He said "That thing better look like a tennis racket!".

He should be set alight for future generations. 😂
fwiw, i work with OP and was out there with him on his smoke break. The pics he posted dont really do it justice, but there were a good 10 cars both marked and unmarked in front of our office in the turning lane. We're not in the greatest part of town so initially we thought it was a drug bust across the street. By the time they all started pulling and racking their ar's out of the back of their tahoe's and we said f*ck this and went back inside.

I once worked for Carolina Container in Longview, NC. It was a wild wild west place to work. Stabbings, fights, forklift races, you name it. I think I was 18 when they canned me for beating a man after he took a swing at me. Rough out in Longview, NC.
When stabbings and forklift races are in the same column it means something important, I just don’t know what.

Holy hell, we still operate that plant, I'm there for a day every other month or so. They recently set a record, 186 MILES of 8ft wide cardboard ("corrugated" in industry-speak) in a single 24 hour day. Roughly 7.8 million square feet, 980,000 linear feet, 13.8 SQUARE MILES, 8030 acres.

When I was there the plant manager had killed someone in a bar years before. His name was Lewis M. One night a black dude cut a guy with a box cutter. He ran out the door and across the yard to the fence. He wasn’t able to get over the barb wire above the fence and we got his leg and ripped his chest out on the barb wire. All the blood got people excited and he got kicked about 20 times. Fun times. Justice was served on site. No need for a jury pool selection.

I worked on the train that moved the boxes from machine to machine. Every Friday the supervisor would do a punch board to make money. I won 2 bottles of liquor at 17 which he gladly handed me at break.

It means you are in Longview.
As you know growing up in Longview is not for the timid. Glad my kids didn’t have my experiences.

I’m a compassionate christian man, but it’s time to reinstitute chain gangs and work farms.

Is making prisoners earn their food inconsistent with historical tradition?
