New Sig P365

So some shops already have 'em?

I would probably be interested at $499. I had a p938, it was a nice little gun. Found something I wanted more and sold it. Currently my girlfriend has a g43, itā€™s a nice little shooter but I think I would rather have this sig with the better capacity.

Here you go. No need to thank me, just post up a range report when it comes in. :D:D

$499 delivered, don't forget the coupon code for the free shipping.

It looks interesting but I'm going to sit on the sidelines and see how they shake out. After the rush to get them and price will most likely come down, and I'd rather wait to let them work any bugs out.

Getting to be really hard to be a glock fanboi these days. Ruger cranking out interesting stuff, Sig cranking out interesting stuff, Springfield cranking out, um, stuff.... Glock cranking out poop brown mullet guns and "make the internals incompatible with previous gens with no actual user benefits" gen5s. Sigh.

You hear me Glock. Sigh.

All these single stack 9s that are taller/longer/wider than my PM9 with the same capacity (or higher with huge mags hanging out) are not interesting. This, this is interesting. I'll even give them a pass on the non-standard rail and crazy $60 magazines because they broke the mold and made something actually new with capabilities no one had before in this size package.

@Jayne , personally I will hold on to my G26 for a bit longer (probably forever). Especially since I can run it like a scalded cat and all my Glock 9mm mags will work. I can add a couple or six extra rounds to my 10+1, or 15+1 or 17+1 or 33+1.

That being said... I'll wait and see what shakes out of the this promising pistol. After the honeymoon period is over if it's the cat's meow I'll get one.

Looks quite interesting. While I love my M&P's, I'll certainly give this a look to compare to my Shields. I know I can get a Maggutz kit to get 10+1 for a whole lot less than a new Sig but it's still worth checking out IMO.

Looks like a shrunken Ruger American in single stack mode at twice the price. Meh, once again Sig fails to impress me at their price point.

I donā€™t see what all the hype is about. I personally donā€™t like a gun that small. But an ass for every seat is what they say. Iā€™m happy with a mid size firearm. Reasonable concealability, good round count, decent accuracy.

I'll say this, I've shot a lot of small guns in competition and on my range trying to find what worked best for me. I settled on the Shield/Honor Guard as best for my hands. I'll keep my comments about the Honor Guard out of this until they fix their drop issue. For me, the Shield has a grip that fits the sweet spot in the palm of my hand that gives me maximum control ability. If the barrel were much longer it would throw the whole balance out of play. That's why the G43 was such a disappointment to me. The grip with magazine inserted was too short, and the barrel/slide was too long; causing it to be out of balance. TTI and Hyve Technologies mitigated it with their +2 basepads, but being that you already have to buy sights for the G43, it put the price point in a range that I didn't feel was worth it.
All these small guns are hard to reload when the adrenaline is pumping. I have issues with the Shield/Honor Guard, and I practice with them a lot. The G43 was simply a no go for me. The mag would not drop free and would get stuck in the palm of my hand.

With standard mags, I fear this Sig P365 will have a similar mag change problems as it is shorter than the Shield and almost the same size as the G43. However, it has a shorter barrel than the G43 and I think it might balance better because of it.

The only issue that really concerns me is if the grip texture is aggressive enough to keep it from moving around in my strong hand. To be able to get a 10 round magazine they had to have lost thickness in the grip module itself around the magazine, and if they did it will leave scant room for adding stippling. That shorter barrel is going to add more muzzle flip, and it will be very noticeable.

Count me curious about this gun, but with the 55$ amount for extra magazines I doubt I get one anytime soon.

The few photos I've seen (including those posted in this thread) appear to show relatively aggressive stippling on the grip. I've fallen in love with the M&P 2.0 stippling and am hoping this new Sig offering includes something similar.

Me too, no plans to retire the G26 anytime soon. It works too well for everything I want to do and has parts/mag compatibility with my competition setup. Now, if Glock just came out with a G26 slide on a G17 frame, then wow, game changer.

I just saw that Eagle Guns in Concord has one you can rent. Iā€™m not a huge SIG guy but I might head up there just to satisfy my curiosity

The trigger is not bad. It doesn't handle bad although I have not shot one I held one earlier this week. I think it's ugly I like my 938 far better. If I can't stop them with 7 I'm screwed anyway.

Well I got my hand on the P365. Man is she little. Not for the person with grizzly size hands imo. I don't feel like standing out in the drizzle so this kind of shot is the only shot with it this far. $529 OTD isn't too bad for what it is.

Meh. Love my 43 too much to even consider a Sig product for carry.
This will piss people off, but what the hell Iā€™ve been drinking: Sigs are terrible!

I like the legion, and like the feel of the p320, but you can keep all of them. Most over rated guns in history! Give me a glock and the money left over for CZs to shoot for fun.

Glocks are better for carry guns. And CZs or 2011ā€™s are better for match guns. Hell, Glocks are better for match guns! Sigs suck. The DA/SA guns have stupid controls that donā€™t allow for a modern grip, and they choke if you sweat on them too hard. The striker guns just go off if you tap them in the wrong spot!

Do these come with a hammer to make them go off? Or, do you throw them onto the ground in front of your attacker and hope they kill the right person?

No thanks! You can keep this ā€œground breakerā€.

Sig. Terrible. But at least it costs more!!!

Apparently some people are experiencing barrel peening issues: https://m.imgur.com/r/CCW/F6mVe

Cart before the horse? A friend of mine got one in the Triangle. When he complained of gun not going into battery, the Sig dealer told him, " the guns that have been sold already were early release versions that were not meant to be sold to the public."

I have the Walther PPS and G43. If I had to do it all over, I'd pick the PPS over the G43 and the P365. Better ergos, balance, and it's super reliable, at least all those factors for me. And it's selling now for $308 (I think they're clearing out for the mini PPQ).

If that is true...well...I don't know what to say. I will not be a beta tester this time around. I'll stay with the Shield for now.

The PPS seemed like a great gun to me...I just didn't like the ergonomics. That slight forward curved at the end of the magazine that points back toward the muzzle was off putting to me. The Sig p365 has that same slight curve. I like the straight down from the trigger guard to the end of the magazine that the Shield and G43 has...fits better to me.

Finally, somebody has one. I have not yet seen one. How would you say the grip size compares to a G43?

Come on now....some of that is really funny. Hammer....ground breaking...now that's good writing. Do you get even better the more you drink? I have seen many Sigs here, yes, to my taste they are a little busy, but that's just me. Have seen some that were choke prone, a real problem to me. That being said, I only have 2. An older German 226 and a P210. I am anxious to see what they feel like compared to my Gs and Sheilds. They may go to Hell today on the range BUT so far, so good. From what you folks are reporting, I may just wait awhile. But I do want to put one in my paw.
NKD, take another shot and write another post....I love them.

Haha, thanks. Just messing around. Was 3 beers in, and I am a lightweight!

Man, I'd love to have a P210!

No need for both of us to spend the money on a same gun. Come on down and shoot it. It's a sweetheart and I got plenty of ammo. Young man here yesterday shooting it said...it makes me look a lot better than I am. Not so sure about that, he's coming around quickly.

As I said in my earlier post in this thread I really was into getting this gun and I'm glad I didn't just jump into one. So for now like you I'm just going to stay with my Shield 9 until all this shakes out. I'm really not interested in spending money for a gun and having to send it back for their so called tweaking and all the other things going wrong with it. It's beginning to sound like to me that they never really gave this gun much testing prior to sending them out.

This reminded me that there is already a subcompact pistol that holds 10+1 and is actually a reliable and ergonomic gun. Plus you can get them for less than $200 OTD.

The Sccy a hammer fired DAO pistol, but the trigger pull is pretty light.

I had one then sold it, but I'm back on the hunt...

Had a SCCY... sold it. Occasional hiccups but ultimately just didnā€™t feel ā€œcomfortableā€ trusting it. Recently acquired a P290RS and really like it so far but the p365 is a different beast as itā€™s not DAO like the SCCY and P290rs

Shot one tonight over at Eagle Guns in Concord. Sweet little shooter with a pretty decent trigger out of the box. Im a self admitted Glockaholic/Fanboi, and have to say, it was every bit as nice as my 43. My 43 has Talon rubber grips, and I undercut the trigger guard to keep from beating up my knuckle, but the 365 felt as good stock as my 43 does with the undercut, and shoots maybe even a little softer. I would be all over this thing if the price were inline with the 43. I know, pics or it didnt happen, lol.
