I have trouble loading the puctures! Should i use thumbnail or fullsize?View attachment 45653 View attachment 45654

Nice rifle! You will now have to try out different ammo to see what it like to eat the best. One of my rifles loves Aquila ammo and I also have one that does not like it at all.

I personally prefer full size pictures. I just think it is easier.

My best target was the 1st one I shot. Then I shot a few rounds of eley. I couldn't hit anything with that. It is usually pretty consistent in my savage. When I switched back to aguila, I had a hard time getting dialed back in. I plan to get a new Athlon scope for the CZ, just got to save up some more money!

@TNTmx9 - I also have a CZ 455 (varmint). Never shot Anguilla but mine likes Eley Match, more so than Tenex, and recently I shot some Lapua Center X that it really liked. Most seem to like CCI STD Velocity but it’s only so-so in mine. Tried some Eley Club and it did very well but got too many fliers to be good for anything other than practice - not serious competition like this league :D

well rats... I printed out the target and headed down the range today but it ended up raining. :(
So what did I do instead?... practiced some offhand shooting with the AR15. o_O (you know those knuckle-dragging service rifle shooters... gluttons for punishment)

My cz455 LOVES Fed gold medal match, item #922a if you ever buy any. Half the price of center-x too if you shop around and not near the fliers center-x has become known for.

You got my curiosity up on the Fed gold medal match. So I just ordered some. Normally shoot Eley Target, Match and Force out of my Anshutz. Will see how the rifle likes it.

when I shoot TSC at the Conover range to 200+yds that`s my go-to ammo just as it is when I make the trek to Boone for their monthly benchrest match. I used to shoot center-x until it got so inconsistent between lot numbers. I haven`t found a bad box of 922a yet. What`s FGM running now? Last I bought was about $44/brick compared to $100+ for Center-X. I`ve still got 3 bricks so I haven`t bought any lately

My rifle also likes Aguila standard velocity

Ordered off Buds for 41.60 + 10 for shipping.

Hope rifle likes the stuff. Because I definitely like the price. Whole lot cheaper then Eley

What will you be shooting it in? I shoot a CZ455 TactiCool and a Remington model 37. Both mine love it.

I just ordered 250 rounds to try in my FVSR. I have a scope coming in this week so I hope to get it dialed in this friday and shoot the March target with what I hope are good results!

Anschutz 64 sbr and if not good in that Stevens model 416 bull barrel

Ok, you got me all excited about the FGMM - just ordered a brick from Buds. I'm hoping to go shoot the target Wed night so won't be able to try it then but at the price I sure hope my CZ 455 likes it. Would be great if it turns out to be as good as Eley Match in my CZ ... and generally speaking Gold Medal Match has a reputation so I'm holding out hope. I did shoot some Gold Medal UltraMatch one time and it was excellent but at the price it was not any better than Eley Match and that was cheaper at the time. Looks like UltraMatch prices have come down since then and is cheaper than the Eley Match now - maybe give that another try some day.

Thanks much @ERE99 for the heads up and @Skeeter190 for the input!

Well just heard from Buds. Ammo should be here Friday. Will give it a try next week.

Made it out to shoot last night and was humbled by this target to say the least. Had a freshly cleaned rifle that took a bunch of rounds to foul the barrel and get it to settle in but never got to where I thought it should be. Was also cold and I was right under a fan so probably never had a hot barrel for what that's worth. Have a few other excuses but saving them for another day :) Ran out of time so I only got to shoot 2 targets once things settled down - first was a 10 that I actually had to adjust my scope about 1/2 way through and second was a 16. I know I can squeak out another star or 2 so I might have to get out and have another go at this one!

CZ 455 Varmint
Leupold VX-3 4.5-14 x 40
Sinclair Lightweight Rest in front, Protektor Bunny Ears Bag in back
ELEY Match

My Bullets came today. Of course after I got home from the range. Will try to get to the range next week. Today I was shooting USBR targets.

would I be better to shoot standard velocity ammo?

would I be better to shoot standard velocity ammo?

Conventional wisdom says yes to Standard Velocity - high Velocity is above speed of sound and when it slows down and transitions to subsonic there is loss of stability introducing wobble and loss of accuracy. STD Velocity starts and stays subsonic.

Only problem is 1 less excuse for missing the damn stars :D

Picked up 5 boxes of fgmm 922a yesterday at outdoor limited for $4.65 a box to try in my fvsr hopefully I’ll get the target shot this coming week.

My bow was underneath the white foam packing and mine was a brick. Looks like yours are individual boxes. Or maybe you have been bad!

Yes - individual boxes but a brick worth. Checked under the wrap hoping for **10 bows** but no love to be found :( Note to self - be a better boy!
