What blade are you carrying today?

Shown side by side with my Cold Steel Tiger Claw. The Cold Steel is a beast but the Fox is I think the better choice. The hook is more pronounced and more in line with the traditional shape. The wave hook is also a bit more functional on the Fox. You can make it work on the Colt Steel but it is much more natural with the Fox.

This Kershaw Leek is a great combo of size and weight and like the fine tip blade since I am only using it as a letter opener/box cutter...Plus the speedsafe makes it like a fidget spinner to flip...If I was doing more serious work, I might want more texture on the grip

Freshly sharpened Cryo blackwash.

A Steel Will Cutjack D2 3" model. I believe it to be one of the best values per dollar spent available today. The action was a little slow at first but I took it apart and cleaned the pivot washers and lightly coated the surfaces with Ballistol. That made a huge difference in the speed and smoothness of the action. I lightly stoned the flats on the metal washers also. Total time was about 15 min and well worth the time. Going to use this for EDC for a long time I hope.

Straight out of the box it was more than sharp enough and the fit & finish look better than the price suggest. Thank you thrillhill for ordering this for me.

Been tweaking my EDC here lately. I carried a Delica for yrs but never could put the edge on it I thought it should have. Also tried to sharpen my brother's for him, VG10 just doesn't like me. Here is what I've been carrying the last couple days. Really liking it so far. I've ordered a deep carry clip for the Blur, I think that'll make it just about perfect.

Don't fret it about the VG-10. From what I have saw first hand the steel varies greatly from batch to batch with Spyderco. I have a few of their knives with VG-10 blades and it seems two of them will go dull just setting in a drawer and I have a Dragonfly VG-10 that sharpens easily and retains an edge really well.

Recently got this Pachmayr G10 folder from one of their grips promos. Showed up sharper than hell and I'm impressed with it considering I wasn't expecting much from it.

I can be caught carrying anyone of the above blades. I think the Benchmade is maybe my favorite. Need to send one back to Kershaw for a new blade

Today Kershaw 1320. Several I change daily. A few common traits...all flippers..all assisted opening..all with a point that could be used for ocular surgery. Kershaw and Al Mar especially good at this super point business. All knowledge does NOT flow from this fountain but for my money Kershaw as a brand is hard to beat.

Kershaw Leek from Amazon. Made in USA, stainless, works. I'd rather spend my money on guns.
