Supergrand Championship

If I'm shooting a stock Glock 34, what division do I sign up for?
How many mags are you willing/able to carry? Do you wear your holster at or behind the hip?

The gun is most competitive in Production. This limits you to ten rounds in a mag, which makes it wise to carry 4/5 plus the one in the gun. Gun and mags must be behind illiac crest on belt.

If you want to load to capacity, or carry appendix, shoot limited.

Both are minor power factor with a G34.

Wow, ok. Different game! I keep my holster at 2:30/3:00. I usually carry 2 mags, but I have an old cheap double mag holster I could add. That would give me 4, but they’d be close to behind me the way those two double holsters are set up. I may just shoot limited and go with 3 extra mags, full...I dunno.

Thanks for the info!

A whole lot of people recommend Limited for a first USPSA match.

Marking this on the calendar for future matches

I have a P320 Tacops with 4 21-rd mags. It looks like these mags will just make the Limited measurement of 5.561", but it's hard to measure. Does anyone know? I have 3 17-rd standard mags, so for Limited I guess 3 mags would work. Are there any stages requiring more than 52 rounds (assuming no inordinate number of mikes)? I'm assuming 17+1 for the start of the stage, like in IDPA. If the Tacops mags work, I could be at 20+1, plus 20 +20 with just 3 mags.

I'll bet you can use the 21 rd mags. I don't think Chris or anybody is going to measure anything, especially if you are just getting into it.

He would encourage you to show up with what you feel comfortable with and shoot the match.

According to a guy in this thread https://forums.brianenos.com/topic/231583-sig-320-21-rd-magazines/ they pass gauge.
You can barney up, I usually don't except in production, exception being a low round count stage where one mag might do it.
Stages at lvl 1&2 can exceed 32 rounds, I have heard of them, I have not seen one that I recall. The little bit I played in Limited I carried three including the one in the gun, do the same in CO.

You can barney up

The 21st round is improbable, if not impossible to load LOL. If I barney up, I'd have 61 rounds in three mags including the chamber. At my age and endurance level with what I've seen in the required movements in USPSA, I'd have to take a nap after shooting 61 times!

I won't be there, but I'll see you tomorrow if the H20 match doesn't get called off due to rain. I have two individual Comptac mag pouches for 9mm Glock mags if you want to borrow them. Just PM me so I don't miss it.
