Does everyone use soft loaded rounds for these competitions? Do people use regular ammo or only the light stuff? I have read some shooters use loads that barely meet whatever specs are required and different springs and what not.

The current National/World champion in USPSA/IPSC production uses off the shelf ammo for matches. Apparently typically Federal 124s, he buys it.Does everyone use soft loaded rounds for these competitions? Do people use regular ammo or only the light stuff? Sir Walter's Feb match.
Good shooting bud!
Yes. This is at Chris Tilley's place in Garner. The 2 that run this match stay hot for security reasons. They don't participate...they just run it.Good shooting bud!
Side note: is the RO walking around with a hot pistol? Not clutching my pearls just thought this was a big deal in IDPA. I’m not familiar with that match or IDPA in general and just found it curious.
Got ya. That makes sense.Yes. This is at Chris Tilley's place in Garner. The 2 that run this match stay hot for security reasons. They don't participate...they just run it.

This match is ran at Tilley's indoor range which is also a gun store. During the match the store employees for the most part have left for the day. They cannot close the internal steel security doors until everyone leaves. Therefore, the 2 that run it stay hot in case the one store employee manning the desk needs them.Security reasons?
