Surprised that no one has mentioned it yet. I'm breaking my self imposed boycott of the Asheville show and plan to be walking around Sunday. Need some ammo, need to sell a bit of brass, and could use a new gun or two and a few odds and end.

I'll probably be there at some point. No particular need in mind though.

Ive been put on notice: if I bring anything else home from a gun show before the end of the year, the missus is gonna divorce me.

Whats the address of the show?
You can drop whatever you buy at my house on your way home.

I live not far from you.[emoji41]

Yep on the help.

Buying multiples of the same gun worked for me until the wife cleaned out from behind the seat in my old truck. Then she found my stash of gun boxes.[emoji41]

All joking aside, she's actually pretty non caring about what I buy.
Although, every so often she will put her foot down and say "no more until you buy me (insert gun here)"
I really cant argue with it lol

I’ll be there tomorrow at some point. I usually don’t go, but my nephew wants to check out some handguns. Not looking for anything in particular, but I do love some police trade in 870P’s and sigs.

My wife is cool with what I buy as long as the dog has food, she can do her crafts, no bill collectors are calling, and she can buy whatever she wants to for the grandkids.

Really my wife is good about what I buy. We're debt free and every once in a while I need to treat myself.

Precisely why I keep the garage in a perpetual state of "How the **** can you find anything out there?" :D

There's so many out's here and if you were a good husband you'd figure some way to take advantage of them. It's what we do.

We're debt free
You're obviously not an American. Whut..you hate America or sumthin?

We need to vet our members more carefully.

Careful now. I'm Irish American. It's the fact that I like my guns more than liquor that allows me not to owe no man, save one the one who saved me.

As for "vetting," this is my third rodeo with this bunch. You had your chances twice before. If you can't get it right, better give up. Life will be less frustrating that way. Unless you'd like to settle this over a beer.[emoji41]

I just got home from the FFL. While I'm doing the paperwork, he says, "Your wife must be outta town again".

I turn to him and nod. Another customer asks how he can possibly know that.

The FFL tells the guy, "He's picked up a gun every day this week".

Was it just me or were there did it seem like there were fewer modern guns, especially handguns than there used to be at the Asheville show? Were there dealers that are normally there that weren't? Just wondering in that I hadn't been in a while.

I got more exercise than I would have sitting on the couch. The wife even came with me and drove the @3 hour round trip. We got to spend some time together and had a good lunch. Traded some brass to GA for some ammo and found @200 rounds of 38 ammo for $35. Oh, and I bought a bag of nuts:)

So good day overall, but for better or worse there weren't many good deals to tempt me. Did see a couple of cool revolvers, but the prices were higher that I was willing to pay.

I saw lots of older collectible guns and accessories. I didn’t find anything at a price I couldn’t resist. My nephew, a firearms newbie, got the chance to see lots of things in person he had only seen on the internet. Not a bad use of 2 hours.

Yes, there were some dealers missing. One big one that is usually there appears to have closed shop. Others were at Fayetteville.
