Warehouse is on fire. Holy cow!!!! @Brian K

It finally stopped. 15 or 20 minutes of very loud explosions. I guess the fire Dept. can't do much when it starts setting them off. Just let it blow until it stops. Sounded like 20 July 4th finales going off all at once.

It was up near the airport towards Market St. I'm down in the garage and when it started, it sounded like it was coming from Market St. between the two parallel runways.

I know that's where Brian K works.

Not saying for sure that was what it was. But it certainly wasn't some store bought fireworks going off.

Susan just texted me and said her neighborhood app says it was someone on Bame Rd. wherever that is. Whatever it was we heard, they were professional fireworks that were continuous for at least 15 minutes.

When I say continuous, I mean non-stop like it was uncontrolled.

That’s off Sandy Ridge

Bame Rd. is just up the street about two miles or so from my house. I have no idea what happened. I guess I'll read about it later.

It was nuts. Thursday on a cold Misty evening and to hear what my wife and I heard..... well, you wouldn't believe me unless you heard it yourself.

My wife just told me that now someone on the neighborhood app is saying this occurred at a house on Skeet Club Rd. that is an Indian (India) temple.

Very strange.

Better check your forehead Dave. They might have been shooting out free dots.

Well, that's better than getting shot at with free golf balls.:D

Yesterday was the Hindu New Year. Maybe something to do with that?

Could be. The Hindus must have an inside connection with the BATFE however.

This was not your average fireworks event. Not even for the professional displays that are put on every year.

I wish I could have recorded it. The mic on my phone isn't big enough to have captured the sound.

It seems you are correct sir. My wife has a couple of friends that live over near that Sikh temple on Skeet Club Rd. One of them stated that they could see the fireworks going off over at the temple. It must have been a permitted event. But it sounded like no other fireworks display I have ever witnessed, including the one they put on out at the EAA airshow at Oshkosh.

I hope y'all don't think I'm crazy. For it to happen on a foggy and misty Thursday evening kind of took me by surprise. My current house and my former house are both within two - three miles of that temple and it has been there for at least 15 -20 years and we have never heard this before.

That place is interesting. When it was being built I ran a collapse call there. The trusses fell and hit a guy. The pole out front is covered in fabric almost all the time.

I missed it. I ducked out of work at 430. Dunno who it was but it wasn't our company.
