Screw it
If they can pass with the current standards sure why not?
Lowering them to accommodate well that is a different pig.
I was in with plenty of females that could go toe to toe with their male counter partz
You were a POG lol
And of course they’re lowering the standards
They needed female drills so bad they had to do something illegal or not be able to read to fail the course. Peer evals were desperately needed

My wife would fill for divorce if there were females in SF when I was in. During GW1 we were rucking with 100 lb rucksack in the evening during isolation. On infill our rucks now weighed an avg of 150 lbs. Our mission was strategic recon where you and others shared the same hole underground. No getting out unless you were compromised or mission over (7 days). Sand gets into everything. Piss into a condom and defecate into a zip lock bag with lime. Buddys are right next to you. No getting out of your hide site to answer nature.

Lifers doing lifer stuff so nobody threatens to take away their pension.Word I'm hearing is that this is her second attempt in selection, NCOs gave her a "No Go" her but an officer passed her. Just like in Ranger School a General Officer showed up to give her and only her a "Go". Officers have sold out and not fit to lead.

And just what will happen to the team when she ends up pregnant and she can't deploy?
Just how many women have signed up only to end up suddenly pregnant when the shit gets real and it's time to deploy!
My old company commander retired as an O-6. Apparently he made some comment about a female being assigned to an 18 series billet. Somewhere in central or south america. It was a resume generating event for him, so I was told.
Back in the 80's, the 82nd had female riggers and females in division HQ. They hadn't forced their way into the brigades or infantry battalions. Not so any more. I couldn't even imagine having to deal with today's PC bs.
Sounds about right.Still hearing she failed but was giving a "pass" by the officer in charge. So much for standards and integrity to the regiment.

Probably back to what she was doing before. This does not make her a Ranger. Only Ranger qualified. Will she be attached to a ranger unit or will she go back to doing paperwork or whatever she done before.
That's what I thought. I'm not a vet.Probably back to what she was doing before. This does not make her a Ranger. Only Ranger qualified.
Yup, when you're attached to one of the Ranger Battalions, then, you're a RangerThat's what I thought. I'm not a vet.

Sorry I dont know why I had ranger in my head. Civilian mistake. Thanks for correcting me.Female in question in this post is NOT a Ranger student. Ranger and Special Forces are two different identities/missions. She has failed and giving a "Pass" for SJW reasons. Course she has so far been passed is the Special Forces Assessment and Selection (SFAS). This is the first part to becoming a Green Beret. Now she will go thru the Military Occupation Skill course (either weapons, engineering/demolitions, communications or medical), language tng, Survival Escape Resistance Evasion (SERE) tng, Special Operations Tactics (SOT) and then to Robin Sage (Unconventional Warfare tng). Still a long pipeline for this 18X. The X Ray program means she enlisted off the street (like I did in 83') and has never been assigned to any unit before. X-Rays are usually 11B (Infantry) qualified after basic training and before jump school. I do not know her background.
If she finishes the course and is awarded the 18 MOS, Special Forces Tab and Green Beret (President Kennedy did award it to SF), she will be assigned to a Special Forces Operational Detachment Alpha. I forecast several divorces on the detachment and her broken (physically) within 5 yrs. The female body is not designed to be a pack mule carrying routinely 100-150 lbs loads. There's always the factor she becomes pregnant on her first deployment which is taboo to talk about. Young men and women will follow nature course.
