Right now my only 22LR handgun is an SR22. Thinking about a Mark IV. Anyone have an opinion. Could use the funds for multiple other accessories or projects, but the SS Hunter has always looked good to me. What say the rabble?
Good question. I bought the Mk 2 in stainless 6 inch bull barrel a long time ago and I think It was the only pistol I truly missed after I sold it.. About 5 years ago I bought the same pistol, but the Mk 3. Once again I found the Ruger to be very accurate and reliable .
What I didn't like about the Mk3
The horrible mag release, where you had to pull the empty mag out by hand. I fixed that with a simple cheap mod .
Very difficult disassembly procedure for cleaning.
Looks like the Mk 4 addressed all those problems and actually improved this fine firearm and for this reason, If your interested ? Buy it..
Just don't ever sell it..
Buckmark, any model of them is better....
Any specifics or is that fanboy speaking?
He does have high standards and I wouldn't doubt him on it. Though I don't think he likes SS very much so take that into account.I have 4 and their the only .22 pistol that can hang with my High Standards on accuracy. Accuracy, affordability and ergonomics can't be beat....

From what I can find the Buckmark trigger is better out of the box. That's a bonus.
CZ KadetCZ needs to make a cool 22LR so I am not so torn on my decisions.
