What have you recently purchased that is firearms related?

Picked up a Canik (Thats ZSA - NIK ignorant 'Muricans!)TP9SF in black at Gander. Essentially the SA without the decocker.

I almost bit on their free .22 Marlin with the purchase of a Bersa Thunder with Crimson Trace grips deal. I did the right thing and got a full size pistol. I've been wanting one.

Millie,

I would be careful of shooting stumps if it is a hard wood tree. Ricochets can happen. Haybales will fall apart. A simple wooden box (24x24") filled with dirt/sand will stop .380 ball IIRC.

CD

My father in law and I built a bullet trap for use at his place years ago. It was a box made with 2x10s on the sides and bottom with plywood front and back. We filled it with rock dust from the quarry. Pretty much the consistency of a really course sand. It stopped .50 cal muzzleloader, .30-06, and .454 Casull. Nothing ever went through the back board. We had to replace the front board and replenish the rock dust naturally on a regular basis, but it amazed me at what it would stop.

I dove into the Blazer Brass “giveaway”. Ordered 9mm from Academy Thursday morning and it arrived yesterday. Ordered 22 from Marcus Lemonis at the same time and crickets. :(
So, tired of hearing nothing, I messaged Gander yesterday. Today I receive a response indicating the ammo is out of stock and may be received by the in 2 to 3 weeks, not guaranteed. In this day and age, they’re not equipped to proactively advise a customer of this? Of course, the rebate deal will be long past. Nice that they charged my card instantly. That’s it for me and Gander Outhouse.

I will preface this by saying that in the end I picked up my pistol when I expected to.

Ganders computer system seems to suck. I ordered Sunday evening. Didn't feel like going to the store and they didn't pick up the phone at the gun counter when I called to check if they had it in stock. Their system won't give you a clue like Academy's does. Saved about 15 bucks online as well when you consider the $25 gift card for an online order and $10 gun shipping.

By 5 pm Monday I had not yet received a confirmation of shipping email. I called and after being on hold for quite some time, I was transferred to the gun guys. There was fraud alert on my order! NO reason. I even confirmed with my bank afterward that there was no reason on their end. Alright, get it straightened out. 25+ minutes later, my gun will be shipped the next day overnight, I'll lose no time.

5pm Tuesday. Still no confirmation email. I call again. Yes it has been shipped and was given a tracking#. No info on gift card on my order. CS rep said he put one in the mail. We'll see! Our USPS delivery has been less than reliable.

11am-ish Wednesday. Receive a confirmation email, but it has no tracking info or order number on it. No sweat, I already have what I need. At approximately 4:30pm I get a call, my gun is in. Cool. I go to pick it up. The system managed to put a partial serial# number on their paperwork and the guy at the counter had to get a manager to over ride and correct their part of the electronic 4473. Fortunately the guys at the gun counter are talkative and will chit chat a bit when they can if they have you waiting.

All humans I interacted with couldn't have been more helpful. They need to get their computer system in order. I can only say good things about the people at the Mooresville location. That's based on walking straight to the back, dealing with the gun guys and back out again. I haven't really shopped other stuff.

What really disappointed me about my experience was knowing that Marcus Lemonis loves pontificating about People, Product and Process. I can’t think of an internet seller with a more broken process. Just ordered the ammo from Outdoor Limited, which I should have done from the start.

Got one of PSA's 7 inch "marauder" pistol uppers in 5.56. $179 shipped is ridiculous.
An inexpensive way to get into a short nitride barreled pistol. I am gonna remove the flash can, handguard retainer, MOE handguards, and delta ring and put on a 7" freefloat rail I have laying around. I also have a PSA premium BCG already.
I think I will have around $250 in the complete upper. Now I need new hearing protection because this SOB is gonna be LOUD.

I also snagged another set of Magpul MBUS F&R sights for $49 shipped.

Update us on the suck or lack thereof please! I am going to start collecting parts. and need to know whats worth a damn.
PSA has always shipped within an acceptable timeframe for what I pay in shipping costs (usually nothing) and shipping times from Columbia SC to my front door are measured in hours.
The Premium BCG I have is MPI and HPT tested so it should be equal to every other MPI and HPT milspec BCG out there. No obvious tool marks and the parkerized finish is first rate. The carrier is chrome lined.

I have a 8.5" upper from them, and it is obnoxiously loud and big flash with factory ammo. I can only imagine how loud the 7" will be.

If you are not going to use the flash can, you can send it to me. ;)

I like it!! It sure would be nice to be able to go out in the yard and blast away!

Review when you have a chance please.

I am not an expert on bi-pods but so far I like it for what I spent for it. It pans and swivels and is extremely lightweight. I don't think I would ever use it for competitive shooting (which I don't do anyway) but for light range use, its OK in my book. As for a comparison, I have an Atlas bipod and a cheap caldwell bi-pod. I do like the Magpul better than the Caldwell. Hope this helps.

Their process does seem to be broken. Online anyway. I got my Black Packs from Academy the first day they were available. On time as usual.

I ordered from Academy on Thanksgiving Day and received them Monday. I ordered today from Outdoor Limited and the ammo was ready to pickup 45 minutes later. Lemonis outta skip a show or two and fix the mess.

I got a 10 pack of finger print cards from the ATF, and an inkless fingerprint pad and plastic cardholder from amazon
Lemme know if you find the cardholder useful or not. I've never used mine when I roll my own.

I bought a threaded 10” barrel for one of my 3 Glock 19 pistols so I can adapt it for my CAA Gear Roni Stabilizer.

From Primary Arms dot com, they had a special on their advanced Microdot. $99 limit two. So I bought two.

I must be an uncoordinated spazz, first try looks like a monkey flinging poop.
Had another member over Friday night that needed to roll some. He didn't use the holders, either.

I did use the holder, after I watched a wiki how video, results had lot of void areas etc...Edit
my technique is lacking :)

I recently picked up some 22LR ammo that would not cycle my guns reliably. I was wondering what to do with the ammo, and someone suggested buying a 22 revolver, so I did. I picked up a Heritage combo 22LR/22mag 9 shot model. I did not know they made a 9 shot version.

Doing a search, though, I also found out that Ruger makes a 22LR GP100 that holds 10 rounds.

The following parts shall arrive via the red/white/blue and brown fairies today:

Rise Armament 'fallout' 3.5lb trigger
Wilson Combat 8rd 1911 mag

Leupold American Marksman (VX1 series) 3-9x40 with Windplex LR reticle (type of BDC)

and hopefully my PSA upper order will show up well before tracking info gets posted lmao

OK, if this can be done with a G20/G40 10mm, you have my attention!

Edit: That's $680 before you add the Glock, but the barrel's threaded :)
