...so...there's this guy I know....who got an 80% lower and milled it out. He slapped a PSA complete upper on it and called it a day.
Today, when we tried shooting it..it kept stove piping. Every round. Then it shoot 2-3...then back to stove piping. We were using a Magpul mag. We switched over to a metal C products mag... same issues. It felt like we had to really "slam" the Magpul into the mag well. Had to seat the c products one real good too...but the Magpul felt like extra effort to get it seated.
Finally it would shoot 7-10 rounds with out jamming...then it jam again.
Ammo was Wolf 5.56 and .223 steel case.
Do you think there is a problem with the 80% mag well or do you think it's an ammo problem?
My PSA AR (PSA lower/PSA upper) eats wolf ammo like kids eat Pez candy!!!
What say ye?
Also... might be a dumb question....but how do you "sight in" an AR back up sights? Where do you start for yardage..50? 100?
