I am looking for a sight pusher. I have a pretty diverse collection that ranges from Classic Sig Ps, CZs, 1911s, Glocks, BHPs etc... and I am looking for a reliable well made tool to push and replace sights on these guns. I have a MGW Glock sight tool which I used to drift the rear sights on my Glock 19s and 17s and it does the trick but will not work on other guns.

So I am looking for suggestions on a decent sight pusher that will work as a universal solution.

I’ve had my eye on that MGW that works for all (with the right shoe??). I’ve got one for M&Ps and is the only kind I’ve used but it sure works awesome. Pricey but buy once cry once!

I've been real happy with my JMT:

I am looking at those and then the MGW Sight Pro Sight mover which has different shims for different makes and models. Each set of shims costs about $15. So you are looking at even more cash to move the sights on multiple types of pistols. The MGW is expensive but if I got it I would never have to buy another sight tool.

The JMT also looks good but appears to be harder to setup but the reviews are positive. I am not sure that the MGW is worth the extra coin. I am not in the gunsmith business but like with the Glocks I have if I had the proper tool I would move my sights more than I currently do. I bought the Glock tool because I move all my Glock sights a bit left. In retospec I should have bought a universal tool when I bought the one I did.

I currently have 3 sets of sights I want to swap out. Sig P228, Sig P225 and a M&P 2.0. As night sights die I am sure I would swap others out as well. Sort of leaning towards the JMT.

I think mine is a Wheeler universal and it’s pretty much all inclusive

I have seen mixed reviews about the Wheeler. How long have you had it?

I’ve used a brass punch a lot. Switched to a P500 a year or so ago, it’s great for small adjustments and really stuck sights.

What type do you have and what would it cost me to rent it?
This one or not far from it.
