What are you drinking?

Picked this up on the way to the Morris Family BBQ last year... Very peppery... Went well with dinner...

I drank some hemp beer. Tasted like it was brewed from lawn clippings.

Trying to finish off some bottles that had less than a drink in it.....Four Roses is now gone. Really do not like it.

I’m letting this work out a sore throat I’ve had for a couple days. Not bad, but for the price Basil Hayden’s and Blade and Bow are much better.

My usual post gun buying celebration beer spot. Oskar Blues Brewery is right around the corner from GT Distributors in Austin.

A large cup of Brazilian roast at a great pro-2A coffee shop in Lexington
Trying to get some various things sorted out before I go home - not as productive there!

Was on base at Bragg today buying my 5 bottle quota of JW Green and saw this. Never seen it anywhere else so I snagged it. Research and all..... somebody has to do it. Right?

2oz jim beam rye, 1 oz fair game nc apple brandy, orange bitters, 1 oz fireball. Shaken and strained into an ice chilled martini glass...wait for the slight cinnamon red hot burn

What’s the decision, two vs. three fingers of the Woodford? [emoji12]

Went with the Basil Hayden since I have never had it. It is ok. Tastes more like a rye to me. The Woodford’s is better IMO, but they do have very different tastes.

Basil Hayden is my nemesis. Bought it once thinking I’d like it. I was “meh” about it like you. Then a couple years later my father in law gave me a bottle out of the blue.... what to do with another bottle of something I didn’t really like.... I brought it to my family’s Christmas and made old fashioned out of it for everyone and used it up. Phew!!! Then my father in law visits and sees the bottle is gone and buys me another because he figures I like it so much... still in my cabinet...

Your FIL sucks! Maybe he is your nemesis and just messing with you.

Very large CCH class today. I am drinking everything in the house (sort of). There is always Vodka and tonic water in supply, so that is where I am.

Large class=many questions=longer day, which is good, in my opinion. It is draining on instructors but, good for passing on knowledge.

That said, I am tired and need tranquiliztion (rest).

When I took my CCW class at the Wake County Range a lady asked at the end of the day if she had to unload her gun when taking it on a plane. I completely understand your vodka intake tonight. Be safe.

Went to a funeral for a long time friend in Durham this Saturday. Went to a bar to “pre-game” before dinner. They had a limited wine menu but I noticed a decent scotch selection. It had been awhile since I had visited the Isle of Skye (had Talisker), I ordered a dram. The wife had a taste and immediately said “ wow, we need some of this!” So, we have this understanding, Valentine’s Day is the worst day to eat out, order flowers, etc, so we don’t do any of that. I showed up tonight with this bottle of Talisker as her valentine’s present. She was very pleased. I definitely “out kicked my coverage”when I married her. Happy Valentines Day and cheers!
