Said my grandson was drying his cloths, when they heard a strange noise and it just made a humming noise.
They shut if off, tried a few things and realized the drum wouldn't turn. So today I go to take a look, and after figuring out how to get case panels off the damn thing, it was apparent the belt was ok, but drum really hard to turn.
I want to get the drum out so we can take a look at motor, pulleys, drum rollers, etc. We got the top, front, drum support in front and blower cover off and out of the way. Then she sees the problem and screams, saying she has to move, etc.
A snek had came in through the exhaust duct, and while it was running, engaged the squirrel cage blower, which jammed things up pretty tight. I realize that rotating things backwards will push the snek out the way it entered, and was able to then get it out through the exhaust duct.
I did get in trouble for laughing a bit too much, but regained my status by removing snek and getting the dryer working.
It was about a 2.5 foot black snek.
