My current plan is to not change my DMV address until Forsyth issues the renewed permit assuming we can that.
Wife an I have the same renewal date.
Forsyth promised to take the maximum allowable days for renewal. Wicked Shawkah.
When we file change of address I am assuming we can do that in the new LZ county rather than driving out to Forsyth again.
If any of my assumptions are incorrect, chime in.

Change of address must be done in the county of issuance.
They'll give you two options:
1. New permit with new address. They (Gaston Co) also wanted me to surrender current permit until new one was issued, so I chose option 2
2. A seperate paper showing permit number, name, and new address that must be carried with the permit. Laminate it or protect it somehow, it gets delicate over time.

I've had the change of address form from Guilford county for nearly 5 years. Ha!
So I'm good with doing that for another 5 years with the new permit.

I got my change of address paper and then took it the county I moved to and paid them 10 bucks for a laminated duplicate ccw with the current address and my new address’s sheriff signature and all. So it was a bit of riding but it wasn’t that bad at all.
