Throw in Hi-Point pistols and that would be progress for humanity. The way that reads, based on the Glock 18 it could be construed as all Glocks are banned.... Discuss.
defacto gun registrationNote that, like the ’94 assault weapons ban, the current bill would grandfather currently owned firearms.
"(D) A semiautomatic pistol that has the capacity to accept a detachable magazine and any one of the following:
(ii) A second pistol grip."
What pistol has two pistol grips???
People on “our side” of the conversation need to drop the silliness of trying to pretend “assault weapons” are full-auto, or don’t exist.
The DO exist, once a legal definition has been applied to them. In New York, a 10/22 with a threaded barrel IS an assault weapon. A High Point carbine IS an assault weapon.
It’s like arguing that a clip isn’t a magazine. You might enjoy your position of superior semantics, but it changes nothing.
The law called it an “assault weapon”, so now it’s and assault weapon. Simple as that.
While we’re at it, we can stop trying to worry about the other side calling “standard capacity magazines” “ high capacity ammunition feeding devices”. That ship has already sailed, too.

I think you may not be clear on who the 200 are. This ain't some online-poll.
