Hi Point Bullpup

Friend out in Texas bought one for his 10mm and returned it, he claimed the trigger was awful verses the factory stocked rifle.
I love the bullpup look and still toying with the idea of one in 45acp.

I built one for a friend when they first came out. Good balance, garbage trigger, fun to shoot.

I have the HTA stock on my 995 and I am planning on getting one for my 4595. I’m happy with it, I don’t find the trigger to be any worse than the trigger when the gun is in the factory stock.

That’s a good looking rifle Sir. Did you do your own conversion?

I've waffled on whether or not to buy one and finally did. Mine came in today, and I haven't shot it yet, but here's my initial thoughts.

Super easy to install. Takes 5 minutes, if that. If you have your action in the original Hi Point stock, most of the work will be getting it out.

Charging handle spring feels a little weak. No biggie.

Trigger has a lot of loose take up, but the actual weight probably isn't much different than the original.

The design is well thought out and means you can actually field strip it without a bunch of tools, hex keys, and removing screws. Pull a takedown slide back, upper comes off. Two takedown pins and the action comes out.

Rails are metal, as opposed to the original Hi Point plastic.

Overall, pleased. Can't wait to try it out.

You know the drill,, post pics

I guess I'm late to the bullpup party. Who makes the stock?

One thing I can say about Hipoint customer service and warranty is they are top notch. The carbine I put in the stock was one of the first (the take down screw had a hex nut on both sides) so couldn't use them in the stock. I had to use the take down pins from the other carbine I had with the TS stock (had to drill out the holes a little because they were slimmer than the other pins). Looked all over the internet trying to find the take down pins to replace the ones I had to use and couldn't find any. So called Hipoint to see if they sold them and they shipped the pins to me along with an extra at no charge including shipping. I can't even remember how long I have had that gun or even where I got it from lol.

So, I was reading this thread out of boredom and I looked around to see what Hi Point carbines sold for these day.
$350-400!!!!!
Yeah, no.

Hey, I remember looking at that bullpub stock some time ago. But it was a moot point since I no longer owned any HiPoints. They are cool looking for sure.

I bought one of the original Monkey Carbines thanks to @Geezer turning me on to it. I paid $75 for it. I put on a $30 red dot. New shooters Loved it. Firearms snobs [like me] came around once they shot it. We knew a lineman that found one in a roadside ditch. Rusted Completely up. Boxed it up and sent it to High Point...week later.. a brand new one.

Yeah when I still had mine I also had to send them in a few times and they really did always come back fixed with no questions asked. Trouble is mine just never worked all too reliably which is why they had to be sent in in the first place.

Had one, didn’t impress me for the cost. We have known each other a long time. When you picture the Majic Man do you see me as a Hi Pount or CZ guy:)

Get a stribog, 30 round mag is actually a reliable 32 round mag.

I know this is an old post, but could I bother you to post a build list please? Really interested in what manufacturer/model your can is. It appears to be a three piece, but I'm not sure whether or not if that's just my eyes tricking me.

Thanks for sharing either way.
