I like big butts! Pellet smoker thread

Got the pitboss fired up at 0545 with a nice butt. Rubbed it with a bourbon and brown sugar rub.

Try a bourbon spritz on a big ole hunk of beef. OMG, beef and bourbon were meant for each other. I did a 3 lb tri-tip a while back and used about a 50/50 bourbon water mix to baste it as it cooked. It was awesome. My only big error was not having any cheap bourbon around. It really hurt using my Woodford stash for cooking. :(

Yeah man I always forget about them. I literally live 3 minutes from there. I stopped in after work. Got a nice one, almost 9# for $16

I never turn mine either. I just put it fat side up and cook until 185 internal, wrap and cook to 204 internal then rest covered for a minimum of 30 minutes.

I only inject brined turkey with butta, lots of butta.
4 sticks, 2 in the breasts 2 in the legs and thighs.

All other meats are rubbed ......... Stop giggling.

I cheat and use the kitchenade mixer to pull the pork apart.
You turned in your first man card with the pellet thing... You gave up all the rest with the mixer.... What democrat you voting for in the next election? What is your favorite flavor of White Claws?:D
