New MD Announced, Next Match Scheduled for July 13th

Magdump, sorry to hear about your problems, if it helps, on stage three my mag coupler slipped, allowing the first mag to slide up and cover my ejection port, causing a horrendous double feed that cost me 8 rifle misses.
Still had fun, I wrote some of the stages, not all, but thought they were fun, fun, fun. We got lucky with the weather, stayed overcast with a bit of a breeze the first twos stages, not terrible hot after. I'm looking forward to the Sept match.

Scores are posted on the ALPaS website, CQTAS.net, also, they will be posted on the PHA Website on the Tactical Match page shortly.

It's all good. My friends and I had a good laugh about all of our errors. Now I know what to work on for next month's match. You did a great job writing the stages. They were very challenging and a lot of fun

Fred post the scores at ALPaS, then sends me a file that I send to the PHA Secretary. I tried to copy and paste them here, but no go. If someone can, I'll be glad to email the file when I get it.

[note to self, get a helmet and enter 'contractor' class so I have no competition]

The hell are these categories?

The Alphas matches are like 99% just for fun and making holes in targets. (1% is asking people about which category they should be in). They don’t take the scoring and competition part too seriously.

I'll be honest, the more I hear, the less interested I become.

I get wanting to go out and have a good time, Ive always enjoyed myself at a match
But this playing dress up crap is nuts to me

You don't have to play dress up if you don't want to. I wear what I usually do when I go to the range, shorts and a tee shirt. That puts me in High Speed Low Drag category. The other categories are there for the shooter who wants to try their tactical gear without feeling awkward or feel like he is being judged. It's all about having fun and improving gun handling skills. If you have a shotgun, there are only 4-5 shotgun targets per stage and there is no reloading unless you have a miss. Even a hunting shotgun will work.

Best match weathey yet!!! High 70's/low 80's, a bit of a breeze. Heck yah!
Yep, High Speed Low Drag is usually the biggest category. If you don't want to wear your Tactical gear, or your LE gear, or your best Walking Dead Zombie Hunting Gear, HSLD is for you. For the past three matches, I have been trying out new equipment, with very mixed results, lol. It's all fun.

Anyone wanting to help set up (and get a free match), I will meet you at the PHA Gate on Fri 10/11 at 1600 hrs.

Thinking about checking this out next weekend.

Do we have an approx. round count for the match? How many shotshells are you required to shoot in a stage (trying to figure out if I need to carry shotshell reloads or not).

Thanks!
