The man of many broken promises.
Don’t fall for the election time rhetoric.

Some good news today though. Looks like the senate blocked his anti-gun ATF nominee.

He has kept more promises than any president I can remember. Name one that has done better. It isn’t like the RINOs helped at all when they controlled House and Senate for 2 years.

Openly attacking the RKBA, record deficit and government spending, still have Obama Care, no wall, businesses still setting up shop overseas, 100% of his nominees and appointees have been statist ‘Bush’ picks(so much for draining the swamp).

What has he accomplished that he said he would?

When one Judge in CA can put a halt to his wall construction, tie him up in court for a few years, that is just not right.
Do nothing Congress is working against the POTUS as well as the rest of us.
Trump helped to cut more useless regulations from the past administrations including OBAMA.
Obama had more people on staff at State and EPA then previous administrations.
Pipelines approved and being built, fracking and more oil projects putting people back to work.
The US economy is like an aircraft carrier, you can't turn it around on a dime, takes time.
If John McCain would have voted yes, OBAMA-Crap-Care would be HISTORY.

As for the ban on bump stocks, it will not hold up in court, if he did nothing Congress
would have shoved a ban into law and most likely passed with or without veto override.

Congress can’t just pass laws, it would have to go through the senate as well. But I get it, it’s everyone else’s fault except trumps.

Trump ruled by executive fiat to turn bumpstocks into machine guns. And the owners of those bumpstocks into felons. The blame rest on his shoulders.
He has been Anti 2A his entire adult life. His election time rhetoric is all BS.

How long have you known the man? BTW, he had DOJ make the bump stock determination, it will not stand up.
As I've posted here and elsewhere, put the schematics for the M-16 and AR-15 side by side,
there are parts missing so the AR can not fire full auto and most likely needs additional machining of the lower to do so.

Next use the exact Patent application abstract. It reads the trigger is released for each round to fire. US 6,101,918A

The shooter's finger is then immobilized in the position it has assumed to discharge the firearm.
The trigger is translated away from the immobilized trigger finger to effect a total disengagement therebetween.
Sequentially thereafter the trigger is biased into engagement with the immobilized trigger finger to effect successive discharges of the firearm.

Too bad they have already destroyed what was turned in. So it’s OK with you that T$ banned them because you think some statist judges will overturn it? That’s some hard core mental gymnastics. But I hope your right.

Are you aware of the multiple anti gun comments and writings?

What politicians write or say makes no difference, Congress authors the bills and then POTUS signs them or use the veto.
We have to wait it out and let this work in the courts.

This isn’t 4D chess buddy. The man was talking about gun safety legislation less than a week ago.

Don’t get swooned by election time rhetoric. The mans actions are not of someone who is a friend of the RKBA.

I draw my own conclusions, not interested in 4D chess games.

Here is a list that I found from March 2019 at https://710wor.iheart.com/featured/...t-of-president-trumps-accomplishments-so-far/.

I tried to paste it in here but it is SEVERAL TIMES LONGER than the post size limit of 10K characters. I write long posts and I didn't even know there was a limit!

Go read it. Then come back and say he hasn't done anything.

Congress consists of the House and the Senate. So yes, Congress can just pass laws.

Other than McConnell keeping the court nominations moving through the Senate, what has Congress done to support any of Trump's agenda or campaign promises? (the tax cut is all I can remember of substance) They could have fully funded the wall the first week and repealed Obummercare. Instead, Trump is having to do it with executive power alone, fighting in the courts every step of the way.

Seems to me that he has done an amazing amount of good stuff despite that handicap.

Yes, he forced BATFE to issue a rule that they themselves have said they don't have the power to issue. It made some happy at the time (and some angry), but will fail in court and we will be right back to where we started except that the court will have confirmed that they have to follow the law instead of make it up. 2A isn't his thing. I get that. But complaining about his record when a) it's the best of any president except maybe Reagan for the last 50 years, and b) the alternative Hillary would have had the worst record ever, seems stupid to me.

Yea the economy is so great... we are in troubled times right now economically. He is going to knock the debt out in 8 years right? Those Omnibus record spending bills should accomplish just that. Soo much fail in that link.

Oh yea I remember. The wall wasn’t even a subject until the D’s regained the house. Then it’s ‘we gotta get it done now’. Big NYC Charlatan.

You seem to be Ok with compromising the BOR away. As long as you know those are not the actions of a free man, we are good ;).

well if the senate had voted on CCW reciprocity we would be able to carry in ALL states the House passed it and Trump would have signed it but the senate let it die in committee

What is your evidence for troubled time other than the media saying the boom is almost over and we are going to crash soon?
Wages down? Nope
Employment down or unemployment up? Nope (and they aren't actually the same thing)
Still record low unemployment for minorities? Yep
Stock market crashed? Nope

Growth now is slightly down from Trump's peak but still above Obama's average.

Oh, and our oil production is record high, we are net exporting, and close to or actually the largest producer in the world.

So where is the trouble?

Oh, you mean the hysteria over China probably. So what? Who does it hurt? China almost exclusively. A little short term pain here but not actually very much, and we will find other places to manufacture stuff, or do it ourselves. That's GOOD for us long term and BAD for China long term. China is on the ropes economically, not us, and getting squeezed. Works for me. We can press our case for fair and free trade now, or just disengage with China completely. I am fine with either. I am not OK with letting them continue to freely access our markets with no reciprocity and stealing our intellectual property.

So, where is the trouble? Maybe in the news you listen to. Not in the real world.

So, how is Trump going to reduce the deficit? You think he is going to veto the spending bills because they are too large? That is not a hill to die on. I agree that the deficit and debt are huge, and disastrous. But he is smart enough not to pick that battle - he won't win it politically or in the public opinion. We elected a Congress that spends too much. Not Trump's fault. I didn't vote for him thinking he was a budget hawk or against debt (look at his personal/corporate history).

He has actually done a lot to _not_ spend all the allocated money and increase efficiency (over the objection and foot dragging of the bureaucracy of course).

And listen to the Dim debates - THAT's a promising set of campaign promises to reduce the deficit and start paying down the debt.

Are you just trolling, or are you serious?

Do you actually remember what happened the first two years? The first 100 days? The RINO Congress failed to pass any funding in spite of being pushed to do so.

You seem to be Ok with compromising the BOR away. As long as you know those are not the actions of a free man, we are good ;).
Let's see. Compromising the BOR away. What has actually happened? One BATFE rule making that will fail in court (I believe intentionally). Anything else? Beuller? Anything?

Compare that to previous presidents. Homeland Security? Patriot Act? Ginormous domestic spying operations? And on and on Bushes, Clinton (thankfully only one), Obama - disasters.

Compare that to the record number of federal judges at all levels he has appointed and had confirmed. THOSE will actually make a difference to the BOR by shutting down the progressives.

Did you read the entire list at that link? Still think he has accomplished nothing useful?

Decent judges. Especially on all the lower Federal Courts. Big change since Obama. Otherwise I kinda agree with you. Hopefully he’ll get more time, help from the courts and maybe a few more House R’s so he can do more. We shall see. Considering he is fighting the D’s, the press and the DC establishment including the CIA he hasn’t been a total zero.

@Honda4828 who are you going to vote for in 2020 ?
I want to be sure I get it right.... this time.

@Honda4828 , I saw you were on last night. I'm sure you checked this thread...

Whats your answer ? Not Vote at all or vote for the Dem?
Were running out of time, I need to know.

Er...I don't know anyone who turned them in? I don't own one but, printed a nice one for a friend before this bllsht wwnt down.

I vote for who I want to vote for. Voting the two party paradigm candidates = death by 1000 cuts. It’s a rigged game where you lose every time. It’s as simple as that.

It’s really to early for me to start researching whom I will vote for but on the national level I’d probably write in Thomas Massie, or Justin Amash. But like I said I’d need to do more research.

One of the judges he appointed just upheld the awb in Chicago I believe. Such conservatism.

The judges t$ has appointed are arguably all the same statist swamp judges any of the RINO’s would have picked. Hard to drain the swamp when you nominate Patriot act judges and ruby ridge Barr :/.

It’s funny you listed the ‘patriot act’
I find that ironic to say the least.

100% of trumps appointees and nominees have been life long statist big government swamp dwellers. It’s hard to get away from this fact.

Then why make the promises if he knows they are baseless? Sounds like a familiar tactic.

He has recently clamored for RFL’s, UBC’s and raising the firearm purchasing age. He will get his wish eventually. Just another compromise chipping away at our freedoms.

In regards to the bump stocks, could not a class action lawsuit be brought against the ATF or the office of the President for monetary reimbursement?

Edit to add: after any ruling by the court it was unconstitutional.

This has been done, there were several suits filed from different parties. I’m unsure of the status of these suits. Last I knew was SCOTUS refused one of them I know of (I will do some research on this) I have contributed to NoLO by buying $50 Dillos from LaRue as well as joined some Gun rights organizations I’ve never even heard of.

There hasn’t been any rulings that the bumpstock ban was unconstitutional.

RW arms out of Texas filed a lawsuit in April claiming 20million in losses. All of the bumpstocks they turned in have been destroyed. I’m pretty sure they lost that case but it may be ongoing. I cant find anything on it.
