What he said ^^^^^^^. If the contractor ignores assembly sequence he is just damn stupid. I tried stopping it by frame but I'm too slow.
Would like to know if they had final connections tightened and torque checked per level before the subsequent erections began. Improper torque is bad juju and cumulative. I always had ECS or S&ME on site checking both welded and bolted connections. Had at least 3 breaks on poured in place.
This is going to be a really costly ride for the contractor and subs, possibly for the structural dude. Luckily in 48 years of construction and construction management my contractors and subs never had a major incident.
Just to add I worked with some damn fine A/E's, contractors and subs. I also ran off the bad ones...................
