The "Fire-Bowl" thread

Just met up with Mr Thurman, super nice gentleman. Pickup a medium fire bowl from him today. Thanks @thrillhill for the hookup. Sadly Mr Thurman stated he’s done making fire bowls. He has the following bowls left:

4 Large - 200.00
2 Medium - 150.00
1 Small - 100.00

I need to get down there and grab that small one ASAP! I'd weld one up but I don't have the donor tank.

The sawmill crew worked this weekend wrapping up a custom order so I cooked breakfast for them this morning on the fire bowl. Good eating!

I wish someone would bring me one of those big bowls in Statesville NC.

EDIT: I want one of those^ grates to lay across it too for ham n eggs.

Who, in their right mind, grills doughnuts?

SC is under a burn ban until further notice.

This was last night. FTP.

@thrillhill , you think Thurman's still got a medium left? We never did get a fire bowl for the house.

Yes.

But only 2 or 3. Better get up with him soon.

And he called over this past weekend and had managed to make 4 or 5 more of the big ones.

They won't last long. And every time he makes a handful he warns me it may be his last time.

Did he say if he had any of the cooking grates?

I was planning on cooking over mine tonight. I'm hoping this wind will layout.

You shut your hole.
This.
Don't mess with bacon fried KK's

I'm declaring this a "grilled KK" vs "straight outta da KK box" official CFF feud that is similar to the meringue vs whipped crème feud that continues. I've posted the evidence above for all to see.

And for the record let it be known that @kcult fired the first shot across the bow and @Burt Gummer called him out on it. @mj1angier stepped in bringing the participants in the fray to three which according to CFF protocol has established an official feud.

It's official now...……...have at it.

this will now be a fourway tag team wrasslin match

Funny that this thread got "fired up" again today.

We had the bowl performing cooking duty this very evening.

Buddy from worked stopped by with 6 bone-in ribeyes and 3 "regular" ribeyes.

9 steaks for 3 adults (and 2 teenage daughters who eat less than half a steak apiece).

The wife rustled up some veggies and homemade bread. Salad with wild foraged and domestic veggies.

We had a beautiful evening eating at the picnic table under "disease tent #1"! LOL!

Pandemic or not. Job or not. I could really give a crap less. BEAUTIFUL evening for relaxing in the woods!

I have so much pine straw in close proximity to my fire area and other homes closer by in this little neighborhood that I had to figure out a way to better contain sparks. I would have preferred another firebowl after we moved, but we take what we can get. Four tons of tumbled block and two 55 gal. barrels of sweat.
