This is not a new video, but I happened to stumble across it today. The way this officer handles these dogs is outstanding and should be applauded.

The reason I came across the video is that I was approached by an aggressive dog today while walking my dog. I had a 9mm with me, and would have used it if the dog attacked me or my dog, but it felt as if spray would have been most appropriate in that scenario. I will be picking some up asap. I used to have several types, but they went missing over the years.

Thought I'd share.

THAT was excellent work! Well done sir, two dogs are a challenge & the only command they knew was "load up". "How do you like me now?", quite a bit sir.
That was a nice change from, "it's a dog so I shot it sarge", especially to someone that has a couple Rotties in the house.

Well handled. Dogs seemed excited, but not vicious.

I’m dealing with a pair of roaming pits in our neighborhood now. They get loose from a house outside the neighborhood and harass the kids and especially dogs in our neighborhood. So far just one call to animal control based on an attack, but an attack that drew no blood. We’ll see how it plays out over the next few weeks.

Those dogs appeared anxious, but not really aggressive. They had probably gotten out of their yard and had become lost and scared. I'll bet once they got in that car they calmed right down.
