I think this can also boil down to an argument between cakey doughnuts and doughy doughnuts.
And then there is donut vs doughnut....
I never met a donut I didn’t like. Duck’s are good but over-hyped IMO. My favorite is a plain cake Old Fashioned from DD with a cuppa strong black coffee. All that extra sugar and sprinkles are for kids. Don’t kid yerself, bacon sprinkles are still sprinkles.
If you had ever tasted the awful mayo my dad used to make, you would see why I love the Hellmans so much....lol.Get that Chicago yankee crap out of here.
The DoNuts were as big as a coffee saucer and as thick as @Burt Gummer's hand.
They work well for the munchiesI'm a simple man & KK's plain glazed doughnuts are all I need, though a glass of ice cold moo juice to wash 'em down is always appreciated. We only had Dunkin' Donuts when I was a kid & meh.
Oh, meringue & Dukes here.

Cake doughnuts are, in my opinion, an abomination. The worst are those little pretenders that are covered in powdered sugar. It should be illegal to print the word "doughnut" on the package they come in.I think this can also boil down to an argument between cakey doughnuts and doughy doughnuts.

I've driven past there a few times and haven't ever stopped in. That'll change. Our Heidelberg mechanic brings these every time he's close by, or comes by our shop. Best donuts I've ever eat.

I'm not gonna tell Dawn you prefer Heinz over Hunt's. She might not let me visit again.
I never knew there was anything other than Hellman's and mayo-that-wishes-they-were-Hellman's.
What is the proper Southern answer to mayo? I'm willing to adapt.

All three of the above are far superior to Duck Doughnuts.
It's easy...………..Here's how you adapt.
Try their plain glazed, things are HUGE. After you do, come back here to this post and tell us what you think.I've driven past there a few times and haven't ever stopped in. That'll change.

Why We Love This
Duke's Heavy Duty Mayonnaise is unlike any other brand's mayonnaise. Egg yolks give the mayonnaise its smooth, creamy texture, while cider vinegar gives Duke's its signature tanginess. Duke's special heavy duty formula is designed for food service applications.
