I have a German Shepherd puppy and a Yorkie/poo would like to get them trained because my Yorkie has a mind of his own and don’t want my shepherd to get any bad habits!
some Places I have heard of are TarHeel K9 and Kevin Mac Training.

I’d love to hear some feedback from anyone that could give me some insight! Thanks

I had good luck with a petsmart training class. It was six or eight weeks and around $100. Helped with basic commands and socializing at a young age.

The most important thing I learned about dog training was for ME to learn how to let the pooch know what I want.
For DIY, this method has the best results I’ve found in 30+ years. https://www.amazon.com/How-Your-Dogs-Best-Friend/dp/0316610003

y breeder’s in Charlotte and she uses Sanford Animal Hospital for breeding (it’s $10K per shot of male juice). I’ve been taking my dogs there for several years, give them a call for suggestions in the area. (919) 775-7945

that’s where I took my puppy to get her shots/chipped etc .

I bought the book on Training Shutzhund for our first GSD. You have to really be there and like @Pink_Vapor said, once you can communicate to the dog clearly what you want. It all falls in line.

We thought about sending her off to be trained... but I thought I could do it. She was magnificent. But I spent hours every day with her.

The Second GSD... well.. we just said, we want a normal dog... good natured and fun. And like a champ, she took to that training as well... she snoozes all day and is a goofball. She still is very aware and watchful.. but not as jacked up as the first.
