D&H AR mags

I have a few of their magazines in 7.62.x39. Like them a lot. Very well made and reliable.

They have always worked for me. I have a box full of them with the green followers. Before I went to Pmags and Lancers they were my go to mag.

I’ve got a metric ton of them. Never had an issue with any of them

I use them for 300 BLK, pmags for 556. Easy to know metal 300, polymer 556

Same here, I got 30 or 40 from PSA last year.

PSA D&H 30rd. Have 20 active, 20 in reserve. I don't expect the active mags to wear out.

I do have some stainless Stoner 5, 10, 20rd and a few 20 rd Colt and others for range work. One basterdized no name single loader for offhand targets.

Let me explain why I am asking about them.I just finished a 450 Bushmaster AR 15 build. Since Bushmaster is no longer alive the mags are not available..There is a company in Southern California that make the followers to convert mil spec mags to the 450 Bushmaster. The owner said he had found the D&H mags provide the best results. There's a guy in Indian Trail that does conversion's and he uses D&H mags.. I actually found a couple of the in my rather large box of mags today along with a kay mag and a C products mag .Well I had bought 3 single stack conversion followers and assembled them today . All three work perfectly. The followers do not work with p mags because the lips are not strong enough to hold the larger diameter of the 450 round.
Thanks to all who replied. No further needed unless you have more input.......

You would think after the 1st round on top of the follower all the others rounds would stack. I guess I'm not understanding.

It's all contingent on the mag well which is the same size on any lower, correct? Am I wrong?

There is enough "wiggle room" to cause them to malfunction Had a couple of failure to feed using standard AR 5.56 mag. That 450 is a hoss .That 250 grain Hornaday FTX bullet leaves the barrel @ 2200fps. I want feeding it to work all the time.

Wish I had some 450 rounds here to test in my Beowulf mags.

Could you buy 458 socom mags and see how they did?

Maybe that's what you need to work withto modify from when the original platform. It wad designed for a different cartridge? It's close but may, or may not, work with that dimension or cartridge.

I'm at a loss...

My Fo Fitty xperience. Tromix follower in a Lancer Battle mag works very well. Single feed follower in a D&H works very well. Tromix in a hacked up Pmag works OK.
