I don't watch NASCAR... But...

I worked at a Nascar 1/2 mile dirt track in high school & once watched a late-model go airborne at speed on the back straight & take out 2 light poles while in the air. Driver walked away. Pretty sure, especially post Dale, that today's cars are a heck of a lot safer than what they were running in the mid to late '80's.

I grew up near a dirt track. Seen some sprint cars looking like dice at a craps game!
