Hey guys, i was just thinking about the tac 14 and shockwave... do you guys think anyone would make a short double barrel that sells as a pistol? Maybe not the most practical, but id love to have one. Just wondering yalls thoughts.

Ive Seen that one but just was wondering if anybody thinks they'll make a center fire version.

Don't think you can get a shotgun classified as a pistol Not sure you'd want to shoot that antway, unless it was with those Aquila Short Shells. How about this instead? Classified as AOW (Any Other Weapon).

I was thinking 10-14"barrel, no aow paperwork, and center fire... I'd probably grab one around 300$ if they made it

I have a 12 inch Savage 311 SBS. With wood that is amazing. This is a grand little item and if somebody made one like you're talking about, I'd buy 3! Ask @MacEntyre about the wood!?

Having fired a 16ga SxS pistol (not in the US), I wouldn’t want to ever do it again. Maybe with a 20ga? Or 12ga with minishells?
Nah, I just don’t heal like I used to...

Tell the world... then I won't be the only suspect when it goes missing... ;)

That sounds so cool to me! I had an old 311 i refinished in school. I hate i sold it and that's what sparked this idea... just wanted one without aow paperwork, i guess im being lazy

yea.... i considered that 870 tac 14 with the pistol brace but i just love that good old double barrel. reminds me of grandpa sitting on the porch back in kentucky complaining about the tax man.

Nothing says "don't f*ck with me" like a short barreled shotgun. I have a 20" Stevens 5100; not as nice as yours but I like itView attachment 200391

especially in The South. I’ll need to get one to play the part when daughter is of dating age. Something about a double barrel shotgun and a pissed off southern man that just says “pure utility. this guy is a hands on, pragmatic, and no theatrics problem solver.”....”am I the problem? Oh poop!”

I have an old 18" Springfield 12ga side by side coach that Dad gave me when I was 18. It's got the 2 triggers and has gotta be dated from the pony express.
So here I am 18 years old..fearless..indestructible..and after a few singles figured I got this.
I decide it's time to pull both triggers at the same time..with 3" magnums. Lets see what it'll do.
What it did was damn near remove my shoulder, and the recoil popped off the wood fore-grip, promptly allowing the barrel to fall off too.
I still have that gun. I've never shot it since.

IDENTACAL result with the above gun RS posted . Her nephew made the mistake of putting TWO fingers in the trigger guard He has hands like canned hams. Pulled one and the recoil activated his other big fat finger....KABOOM and the exact same set of circumstances you described happened in a milli second.

I did some checking to make sure the information given to me was accurate. And Opinion is..... If that shotgun is that old it may have Damascus barrels. They are not save to use smokeless powers in.. If you really want to shoot it use BLACK POWDER reloads and go light. They can explode with new smokeless powders or heavy loads.
At a minimum be very very careful if you intend to shoot it.

And yes I have one of these old monsters too.... I even have to brass cases to reload for it... but I wont even try it... its one of my wall hangers.
